The short clip revealed that the anime will be released in seven chapters or movies, starting with the first film, Dark Invasion, on July 19, 2024. Details about the staff have also been revealed. Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 is a remake project of the Space Battleship Yamato franchise, taking inspiration from the Be Forever Yamato 1980 movie, as well as elements from the critically acclaimed film Space Battleship Yamato III.

Earlier, the official team working on the Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 anime project unveiled a promotional video and key visual to reveal the anime's premiere date. The announcement stated that the anime will debut in seven movies/chapters, beginning with Dark Invasion on July 19, 2024. Created by studio MOTHER, the 30-second teaser trailer effectively conveys the intense atmosphere of the anime through stunning visuals of spaceships and galactic warfare. Furthermore, the teaser includes the popular characters Susumu Kodai and Sasha Kodai.

In addition to the promotional video, a sneak peek visual for Chapter One: Dark Invasion, the initial installment of the Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 series, has been revealed. The esteemed mangaka Kiya Asamiya created the artwork, paying tribute to a visual from the Forever Yamato film released in 1980.

As previously mentioned, the sci-fi anime's all seven chapters will be shown across the country, commencing with the Dark Invasion on July 19, 2024. The release dates for the rest of the chapters or movies will be announced at a later time.

The anime's main staff details have been revealed, including the promotional video and key visual. Naomichi Yamato leads the team at Studio MOTHER, with Harutoshi Fukui taking on the roles of supervising director, head writer, and scriptwriter. Hideki Oka is back to co-write the scripts, and Nobuteru Yuki will resume his duties as the character designer. Junichiro Tamamori, Yasushi Ishizu, and Mika Akitaka are credited as the mecha designers, and Hiroyuki Goto joins as the CG producer.

Tomohiro Yoshida, known for his work on Brave Witches and other series, serves as the sound director, and Shosuek Uechi leads the CG direction. Akira Miyagawa is back to create the anime's music along with Shu Kanematsu.

Hiroshi Miyagawa, known as Akira-san's late father and the original composer for Space Battleship Yamato, also worked on the Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 anime.

At a previous event, Harutoshi Fukui, the anime's supervising director, revealed that the upcoming project will consist of 26 episodes. He also confirmed that the anime's story will begin in 2207 and will not immediately jump to 3199.
