Reacher season 2 brings a new case for Jack Reacher and his famed 110th Special Investigations Unit. As the team delves into a personal and mysterious case, old alliances are rekindled, and new challenges emerge. Let's unravel the mysteries of Jack Reacher and his team in this thrilling season.

Introduction

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Reacher season 2. Jack Reacher is back in Reacher season 2, and he is introducing all members of his famed 110th Special Investigations Unit. The hit Amazon Prime Video show based on Lee Child's popular books moves forward with another mission for Alan Richtson's former military police-turned-hobo. Coming from his adventures in Margrave, Georgia, where he got involved in stopping the Kliners' scheming, Jack faces a brand new case that is already personal from the get-go. After adapting Child's debut installment of the series, Killing Floor, Reacher season 2 skips 9 books ahead and tackles Bad Luck and Trouble.

In Reacher season 1, Jack found incredible allies in Roscoe Conklin (Willa Fitzgerald) and Oscar Finlay (Malcolm Goodman). Together, they made an effective trio despite their constant bickering. Long before he teamed up with them, however, he already had a team of his own. Composed of 10 members, Jack assembled the U.S. Army 110th MP Special Investigations Unit. He hand-picked everyone included in his squad, and despite initial doubts that they would work well together, they eventually did. Jack was the Commanding Officer of the unit for just two years, but they developed a bond that ran deep that everyone was willing to risk their lives to protect one another.

Jack Reacher's childhood as an army kid, which means that he moved from one city to another depending on where his father was assigned. He was assigned to spearhead the 110th MP Special Investigations Unit during his time as a Major, with their base located in Rock Creek Virginia. Despite being the team's leader, Jack didn't like feeling like he was above everyone else outside of a mission. However, it was always he who called the shots when it came to operations — something that is retained as some of his former subordinates reconvene to solve the mysterious deaths of their other members.

In Child's books, Frances Neagley wasn't introduced until Without Fail, but Amazon Prime Video debuted her in Reacher season 1 as a set-up for a much bigger role in season 2. She was the lowest in rank among the Special Investigators as a Master Sargeant, but it didn't mean that she was the weakest. She continues to be the closest to Jack and has no problems poking fun at him and his ways. Neagley is resourceful and dependable. After her military stint, she started working as a private investigator and worked her way to becoming a high-ranking member of their firm.

The events of Reacher season 2 are instigated by the death of Calvin Franz. While Jack treated him as an equal, being also a Major, Franz always looked up to him as his idol. He was recruited to the 100th Special Investigations Unit after Jack learned how he was able to pacify a fight, effectively harkening to his own childhood bully story. After wrapping up his stint as a member of the Special Investigator, Franz opened his private investigating firm but also became a devoted husband to his wife, and father to his young son.

Jack and Neagley recruit David O'Donnell into their mission in Reacher season 2. Known for his laid-back personality, he tends to make sarcastic comments. He comes off as dense because of his penchant for running his mouth, but like everyone else in Jack's military team, he is a skilled fighter. That being said, he usually lays low and lets Jack do the manual work, considering that he is considerably smaller than his superior. O'Donnell was a Captain during his time with the Special Investigator. His happy-go-lucky demeanor dictated his previous dating life. Despite insisting on not wanting to be tied down, O'Donnell is married with kids in Reacher season 2.

Like the rest of the Special Investigators, Karla Dixon was also personally chosen by Jack himself to join his unit. Known for her love of numbers, O'Donnell once referred to her as someone from the accounting services. Beyond being teammates, Dixon and Jack were also mutually attracted to each other, but he turned down her invitation, convinced that it would be inappropriate for them to have any kind of entanglement. In Reacher season 2, they reunite and finally act up on their feelings, although it's unclear if there's a future for them together.

Tony Swan was another member of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. A lover of music, he liked playing the guitar, which usually resulted in some fun, laid-back moments for the team. Besides that, Swan also has a penchant for animals. After the squad was dissolved, he moved to Queens, although Reacher season 2 reveals that he hasn't been the easiest to contact as he valued his privacy. In 'Picture Says a Thousand Words,' Jack, Neagley, O'Donnell, and Dixon discover that he works at New Age — the show's newest evil company.

Despite being the oldest member of the Special Investigators, Jack recruited Stan Lowrey for being a great shot. He championed the Army Marksmanship competition six times, both pistol and rifle. Unfortunately, by the time the events of Reacher season 2 start, Lowrey is already dead, having been killed two years ago in a car accident in Montana, as revealed by Neagley. It's currently uncertain, however, if there's more to that incident than just a typical road mishap.
