Halle Bailey and DDG are fully focused on their newborn son, Halo, and have no plans to have another child just yet. When asked if they are trying to conceive during a Snapchat Q&A session, DDG, 26, jokingly stated that they were advised to wait six weeks before thinking about it. He added, "[It's] too early."
He added, "I don't want to divide our focus too soon. I want to wait a while and let him have all the attention right now. Our entire world revolves around him, so I don't want to detract from that... I want him to have that experience for a few years."
According to DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Grandberry Jr.), the decision to have more children is in the hands of "Lord Jesus Christ."
DDG and Bailey announced the arrival of their son in late 2023, as confirmed earlier this month.
"Even though we're only a few days into the new year, the best thing 2023 has brought me is my son," Bailey, who has been in a relationship with DDG since 2022, shared on Instagram on Saturday, January 6. "Welcome to the world, my little angel. The world can't wait to meet you ️."
The actress also uploaded a photo of Halo’s tiny wrist wearing a gold nameplate bracelet.

DDG shared the identical picture on his personal Instagram account with the caption, "My greatest blessing without a doubt. My son ... I've never been so in love."
Later, DDG released a new freestyle rap that included references to his expanding family. "Being raised in luxury / I know my son will lack for nothing," he rapped. "When he cries, his mother is there for him. She's as strong as Wonder Woman."
Ever since Halo arrived, the couple has been experiencing pure joy. An exclusive source shared with the latest issue of We that Bailey "intends to take a break to spend quality time bonding with Halo."

In 2023, Bailey had a remarkable year as she welcomed her first child and took on lead roles in the live-action The Little Mermaid and the remake of The Color Purple. Her choice of loose-fitting attire at a red carpet event later that year fueled rumors of her pregnancy, although neither Bailey nor DDG addressed the speculation publicly.
“Halle told friends it was to protect their baby and relationship from scrutiny, but it was all very strange to those around them,” the insider added to Us.
