Princess Kate Middleton honored the late Queen Elizabeth II while at a Remembrance Day event with the royal family on Saturday, November 11.

Wearing a triple-strand pearl necklace, it seemed that the Princess of Wales, aged 41, had chosen a piece from the late queen's exquisite jewelry collection. Complementing her attire, she adorned the necklace with a black dress and a customary red poppy pin as she attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Pearls held a special place in Elizabeth's heart, as she cherished them dearly. Her father, King George IV, presented her with a magnificent triple-strand on his coronation day. Furthermore, the king bestowed upon her a pearl every year on her birthday, ensuring that she possessed an elegant necklace by the time she reached the age of 18.

Kate seems to be wearing the same necklace she had on during a lunch with Commonwealth leaders at Buckingham Palace, which took place two days before the queen's state funeral in September 2022. It is worth noting that pearls are commonly worn as mourning jewelry, making it a suitable choice for the event on Saturday. The Festival of Remembrance is a yearly concert that pays tribute to all those who lost their lives in conflicts. Remembrance Day focuses on honoring individuals who passed away while serving in the armed forces, and the royal family has planned various events throughout the weekend to honor deceased veterans.

In addition to her husband Prince William, Kate was accompanied by King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, Duchess Sophie, Princess Anne, and Sir Timothy Laurence at the annual show.

Over a year after the queen's demise, the Princess of Wales is striving to reshape her perception within the royal family.

"In the latest issue of We, a source revealed that Kate is increasingly aware of the public attention since the queen's passing," the source shared exclusively. "She is entering a new chapter in her life and desires her image and deeds to mirror that. While she was previously known for embodying the ideal, nurturing wife, mother, and caregiver, Kate now aspires to be acknowledged as a compassionate and influential humanitarian leader."

Kate, who has three children with William (Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5), desires to be perceived as a resilient leader, capable of revitalizing the monarchy. Nevertheless, she prioritizes being a dedicated mother and aims to maintain a hands-on parenting approach despite her increasingly packed schedule. Although she feels occupied with her responsibilities, she views it positively, understanding the significance of her role as the future queen.

“The queen set such a high standard, and Kate goes out to every event feeling that burden,” the source explained. “But she truly loves the work she does, so it’s a joyful kind of pressure.”
