The final night of Katy Perry’s Las Vegas residency was a star-studded affair, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in attendance.

Celebrities like Celine Dion, Cameron Diaz, and Benji Madden were spotted in the audience during the closing night of the 39-year-old's Play on Saturday, November 4. However, Perry is no stranger to performing in front of the royal family. In May, she showcased her popular songs "Roar" and "Firework" at King Charles III's coronation concert. Perry, prior to the celebrations, shared her personal connection to the monarch.

Perry revealed that she had met the future king a few years back, and he had appointed her as an ambassador for The British Asian Trust, an organization dedicated to combating child trafficking. She also serves as an ambassador for UNICEF, as it aligns with her personal values. Perry expressed her excitement about representing the USA and her appreciation for the opportunity.

In light of her performance at the coronation, Perry's previous remarks from 2018, criticizing Meghan Markle's wedding dress, resurfaced. The American Idol judge commented that she would have preferred an additional fitting for the 42-year-old's simple white Givenchy gown.

At the time, Perry expressed admiration for Princess Kate's choice of the Alexander McQueen dress she wore on her wedding day with Prince William in 2011. "Kate emerged victorious," Perry stated, "I'm sorry, but honesty compels me to say so... One more fitting, and yet my affection for you remains."

Harry, 39, and Orlando Bloom, Perry's fiancé, appear to have a friendly relationship despite comments made. During a 2021 episode of the "Armchair Expert" podcast with Dax Shepard, Harry shared that they were neighbors in Montecito, California. "Just recently, Orlando Bloom reached out to me since we live nearby and keep in touch," Harry mentioned, adding that they often discuss neighborhood security.

During Saturday's concert, filled with numerous A-list celebrities, Perry's attention was drawn towards one particular audience member. Amidst the performance, the acclaimed "Dark Horse" singer expressed her admiration for her 3-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, whom she lovingly shares with Bloom, aged 46.

In the presence of the crowd, Perry affectionately acknowledged her daughter's significance, stating, "I conceived this show following the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove. The moment I laid eyes on her, it felt as if all the love I had ever sought had finally materialized. She has given me a sense of completion, brought healing to my soul, and taught me how to embrace the spirit of play. Consequently, this show pays homage to the inner child within us all and embodies the belief that perceiving life through the innocent eyes of a child grants us liberation."
