For instance, there was a 22-year period between the launch of the original Pokemon Snap on the Nintendo 64 and the arrival of New Pokemon Snap on the Switch in 2021.

The original game, released in 1999 for the Game Boy, received positive reviews and successfully captured the essence of Pokemon's "gotta catch 'em all" concept in pinball form. A sequel, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, was released four years later and recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
