A Pokemon fan artist created a Grass-type variant of Dragonite called Dragonoon the Forest Guardian, receiving compliments for their artwork.
Dragonoon possesses a fantastical appearance, featuring luscious green fur, a creamy underbelly, and protruding antennae reminiscent of majestic stag antlers. Additionally, the recently introduced version possesses a unique combination of Grass and Dragon types, complemented by the Serene Grace ability that enhances the probability of additional effects accompanying its attacks.
A talented Pokemon enthusiast and artist has skillfully redesigned Dragonite, the Dragon Pokemon, giving it a fresh appearance and a Grass-type element. This impressive creation was proudly shared on social media by the artist, who received widespread admiration from fellow fans for their ongoing efforts in bringing new Grass-type Pokemon to life.
Dragonite, fondly known as the Dragon Pokemon, made its debut in Pokemon Red and Blue as the ultimate evolution of the Dratini line. Regarded as the inaugural Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon in the series, Dragonite has consistently been revered as one of the most formidable Dragon Pokemon for competitive battles. Boasting a comprehensive range of moves and exceptionally high physical attack prowess, Dragonite can employ devastating techniques such as Dragon Rush, Stone Edge, and Earthquake to inflict heavy damage upon opponents. Moreover, its Hidden Ability, Multiscale, can provide a tactical advantage in specific encounters. Thanks to its remarkable versatility in battle, Dragonite has garnered a dedicated following among Pokemon enthusiasts, giving rise to numerous fan-created artworks throughout the years.
A Redditor and Pokemon enthusiast named JJonnie, well-known for their previous creation of Grass-type Regi Pokemon, has reimagined Dragonite as a captivating Grass and Dragon dual-type Pokemon. They unveiled their creation, known as Dragonoon the Forest Guardian, on the main Pokemon subreddit. Dragonoon boasts distinct features including lengthy tufts of green fur in lieu of scales, an ivory underbelly, and a tail adorned with alternating light green and dark green fur rings. Additionally, Dragonoon's hands sport pink paw pads, its wings are composed of white and pink feathers, and its antennae have been transformed into majestic stag antlers. In its Shiny form, Dragonoon resembles Dragonite with a tawny body and green wings.
Despite its formidable Grass and Dragon dual-typing, Dragonoon also possesses the ability Serene Grace. This extraordinary ability, typically found in Mythical Pokemon like Jirachi, significantly heightens the likelihood of activated effects from attacks, such as the burn chance of Flamethrower or the stat increase from Ancient Power. In the comments section of the post, JJonnie received compliments from fellow Pokemon enthusiasts, who praised the fuzzy and whimsical appearance of Dragonoon. Although Dragonite has yet to receive a regional variant, passionate fan artists like JJonnie persist in creating their own unique Pokemon to bridge the gap.
Between the upcoming launch of The Indigo Disk DLC and the upcoming Hisuian Typhlosion Tera raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the influx of Pokémon fan art contributions on social media shows no signs of slowing down. It remains to be seen what exciting creations Pokémon fan artists will soon share with the world.

As a Pokemon enthusiast, I am always excited to see new and creative fan art, and this Grass-type Dragonite is no exception. The artist has done an amazing job of reimagining Dragonite, one of the most popular Pokemon, into a completely new type. The design is both unique and believable, and I could easily see this Pokemon existing in the official games.
I also appreciate the fact that the artist has given Dragonoon a new ability, Serene Grace. This ability would make Dragonoon a very powerful Pokemon in battle, and it would be a great addition to the game. Overall, I am very impressed with this fan art and I hope to see more creative Pokemon designs in the future.
