Pokemon Enthusiast Presents 3 Fresh Eevee Evolutions Featuring Unconventional Types

A creative Pokemon enthusiast unveils three captivating new Eevee evolutions, each boasting extraordinary types never before encountered in the beloved video game series

Article Key Points

A Pokemon fan has created three original Eevee evolutions with new types, Slime, Grim, and Curse.

The existing Pokemon types, like Poison, Dark, Ghost, or Psychic, could easily accommodate these new types.

Although there haven't been any official Eeveelutions in recent games, there are still nine potential Pokemon types that could be explored in the future.

A Pokemon enthusiast has recently created three additional Eevee evolutions, each with unique elemental types that have yet to be featured in the official games. Eevee, since its inception in the original Generation 1 games, has garnered a significant following among Pokemon fans. While many are drawn to its endearing appearance, the creature's extraordinary capability to evolve into diverse Pokemon of various types has undoubtedly contributed to its widespread popularity.

Initially, Eevee had the ability to evolve into three different types: the Water-type Vaporeon, Electric-type Jolteon, and Fire-type Flareon. Subsequent Pokemon games introduced additional forms of Eevee, commonly referred to as Eeveelutions. These include the Psychic-type Espeon, Dark-type Umbreon, Ice-type Glaceon, Grass-type Leafeon, and Fairy-type Sylveon. Devoted fans of Pokemon have been eagerly anticipating the unveiling of new Eevee evolutions; however, it has been more than ten years since Sylveon's introduction in Pokemon X and Y, and no further Eeveelutions have made an appearance.

Without any interest from The Pokemon Company in creating official new Eevee evolutions, Pokemon fans have taken matters into their own hands. Over the years, artists have come up with various original Eevee evolution designs, often envisioning a new form based on a Pokemon type that hasn't been explored. In a unique approach, Reddit user and artist In-ProgressPokemon introduced their own Eevee evolutions. They introduced a Slime-type evolution named Goopeon, a Grim-type evolution called Reapeon, and a Curse-type evolution called Voodeon.

Although Slime, Grim, and Curse are fictional Pokemon types, they could easily be adapted into real Pokemon types. For instance, Slime could correspond to the Poison type, Grim could be either Dark or Ghost, and Curse could suit Dark, Ghost, or even Psychic types. Regardless, these Eevee evolution designs are truly remarkable and are sure to spark a desire for more official Eevee evolutions in future mainline Pokemon games.

Previously, there was a consistent trend of introducing new Eevee evolutions in every even-numbered Pokemon Generation up until Generation 8. However, the recent release of Pokemon Sword and Shield did not include any new Eeveelutions for fans to acquire. Similarly, the upcoming Generation 9 games, Scarlet and Violet, will also not feature any new Eevee evolutions. As a result, anticipation now rests on the possibility of new Eeveelutions being introduced in the Generation 10 Pokemon games, as this would fill the void.

Currently, there are still nine Pokemon types that do not have Eeveelutions. This leaves ample opportunities for developers to explore and potentially introduce new Eevee evolutions. Meanwhile, fans can continue to expect Pokemon enthusiasts and artists to create their own interpretations of Eeveelutions.

As a Gen Z netizen, I am excited about the prospect of new Eevee evolutions. I have been a fan of Pokemon since I was a child, and Eevee has always been one of my favorite Pokemon. I love its cute design and its ability to evolve into so many different types. The three new Eevee evolutions that have been created by a Pokemon enthusiast are all very creative and well-designed. I especially like the Slime-type evolution, Goopeon. Its design is very unique and I think it would be a great addition to the Pokemon universe.

I am also disappointed that there have been no new official Eeveelutions in recent Pokemon games. I understand that the developers may be hesitant to add new Eeveelutions because they do not want to overshadow the existing ones. However, I think that there is still a lot of potential for new Eeveelutions. There are still nine Pokemon types that do not have Eeveelutions, and I think it would be great to see some of these types represented. I hope that the developers will consider adding new Eeveelutions in future Pokemon games.
