Philip Rivers, the ex-NFL quarterback, and his wife Tiffany Rivers have joyfully announced the arrival of their tenth child, a son named Andrew. In an interview with AL.com earlier this month, the 41-year-old Philip shared his excitement, praising Tiffany and expressing his gratitude for the miracle of each new addition to their family. With everyone now safely at home, the Rivers family is filled with happiness and wellbeing.

Andrew arrived on October 30, weighing 8 pounds, 10 ounces, according to the news source. The couple also have sons Gunner, 15, and Peter, 13, as well as daughters Halle, 21, Caroline, 18, Grace, 17, Sarah, 14, Rebecca, 10, Clare, 8, and Anna, 4.

Philip jokingly remarked, "We initially thought we would be the third generation of nine, but it seems like we're going for double-digits. Well, I should say it wasn't our decision, but rather God's decision," referring to both his parents coming from families with nine children.

Philip Rivers' children are showing signs of following in his footsteps. His son Gunner is excelling as the star quarterback and top passing leader at St. Michael Catholic High School, where Philip himself holds the position of head coach.

According to Philip, there is a possibility that a Rivers will continue to be involved in the Cardinal's football program for a significant period of time, whether it be throwing, catching, tackling, or engaging in other roles. He even mentioned that he will be celebrating his 60th birthday when his youngest son Andrew reaches his Senior Night.

Philip and Tiffany got married in 2001 at the ages of 19 and 18, having met during their time in middle school. They both went on to attend North Carolina State University, where Philip excelled as a member of the Wolfpack football team.

Following his university career, Philip achieved great success in professional football. In the 2004 NFL Draft, he was chosen as the fourth overall pick by the New York Giants, who later traded him to the San Diego Chargers in exchange for Eli Manning. Philip remained a part of the Chargers for an impressive 16 seasons before concluding his final years with the Indianapolis Colts. In 2021, Philip announced his retirement from the NFL.

"January 20th holds great significance and carries deep emotions for me each year. It marks St. Sebastian's Feast day, a day that will forever be etched in my memory as the day I played in the AFC championship game, despite not having an ACL. Now, after a remarkable career spanning 17 seasons, I am officially announcing my retirement from the National Football League," stated Philip in a released statement by the Colts. Expressing his gratitude, he added, "I am sincerely grateful to God for allowing me to fulfill my childhood dream of being a quarterback in the NFL. I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Chargers for supporting me for 16 seasons and the Colts for the 17th season. Throughout my journey, I am indebted to all the coaches who contributed to my growth as both a player and an individual."
