Persona 5 Strikers: Mastering Nightmare Requests

Discover the elusive Sendai Jail Forgotten Desire in Persona 5 Strikers Uncover valuable rewards along the route and from the request itself Overcome obstacles in your path and brace yourself, as this is not the final Trapped-Type request

Starting from the fragment, "Upon reaching August 11th in Persona 5 Strikers, players will receive a request from Morgana called Trapped in a Nightmare. In order to fulfill this request, the Phantom Thieves must find a Forgotten Desire located within the Sendai Jail. However, the exact location can be quite elusive, as it is cleverly tucked away amidst the rooftops. For players in need of assistance, here's a useful guide."

Forgotten Desire Location

Updated by Jacob Buchalter on October 31st, 2023: The Persona 5 franchise, including Persona 5 itself, has become one of the top-ranking game IPs that maintain their popularity over time, joining the ranks of other iconic IPs like Pokemon, World of Warcraft, and Super Mario. As a result of this success, Persona 5 has spawned various spinoff games, including the upcoming Persona 5 Tactica, Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, and of course, Persona 5: Strikers. Although Strikers isn't exactly a "Musou Persona" game, it bears many similarities. As Musou fans complete their side quests in Strikers, they may come across a Request titled "Trapped in a Nightmare." In this guide, we will discuss the specific location to find the Forgotten Desire that this Request requires.

3x Jail Guards & 3 Guard Dogs (all optional encounters)

1x Forgotten Desire

Go to the Hirose Street Checkpoint in the Sendai Jail Dungeon.

From there, just head into the alleyway to find a climbable pipe/pole to get onto the nearby rooftops.

Once on the rooftop, either by ambushing or sneaking past the Jail Guard, proceed by hopping across the series of Floating Gems and Transparent Platforms. Utilize these platforms and gems to maneuver towards the row of rooftops located on the far west side. To simplify, leap over a gap of Gems from the initial rooftop, followed by jumping across another gap of Transparent Platforms directly in front of Joker, and continue by traversing some more Gems on the right-hand side.

After reaching the final building where the Jail Guard is protecting the Elegant Paper Crane, swiftly jump off the opposite side of the building where the Guard was positioned. This will lead you to a platform with the Forgotten Desire resting on it.

Rewards On Route To Forgotten Desire & From Request As A Whole

Rewards

New Items at Sophia's Shop

1x Butterfly Fan

2x Lovely Empty Bottle

1x Elegant Paper Crane

1x Skin Ripper (Whip)

Let's delve into the specific rewards that can be obtained by completing all of these tasks. Firstly, Sophia's Shop will have brand new accessories for purchase, similar to how the previous Trapped request from Morgana, known as Trapped in Wonderland and centered in the Shibuya dungeon, also introduced new accessories to Sophia's inventory.

In addition, while journeying towards the Forgotten Desire, players may come across a few Material drops, as well as discovering a chest located directly across from the platform where the Forgotten Desire is situated. Inside this chest, a Skin Ripper can be found, which is a whip specifically designed for Panther. This whip has a relatively low chance of inflicting Fear upon enemies.

Regarding the checkpoint and Forgotten Desire Morgana's Request, there is a limited number of adversaries. Players may come across up to three Guard Dogs that summon Orthrus (vulnerable to ice) and a couple of Jail Guards that summon Beriths (also weak to ice). Therefore, if Joker and the Phantom Thieves are not overly leveled up (or have not maximized Bond Skills), Yusuke (also known as Fox) is a suitable choice to counter this mission, along with any Joker-related Persona possessing Bufula-type spells.

But, if players are completing this request long after the Sendai Jail is finished and have no concern for their team setup or the experience gained from these level 12-15 enemies, the only battle that is even remotely necessary is the solitary encounter with Berith/Orthrus on the roof directly above the platform holding the Forgotten Desire. Let's be honest, the act of purposely avoiding enemies as frequently as one does in Persona 5: Strikers sets it apart from Persona 5: Royal.

This Isn’t The Last Trapped-Type Request

Persona 5 Strikers: Mastering Nightmare Requests

It should be noted that Trapped in a Nightmare is not the final encounter where fans will pursue Forgotten Desires. Morgana presents various additional quests at different times, which will require players to explore Sapporo, Okinawa, Kyoto, Osaka, the Abyss, and the Tree of Knowledge. Each of these quests promises distinctive rewards.

Furthermore, undertaking these side quests will bring fans one step closer to attaining the coveted Those Who Heed the Call and 'What are Friends For?' Achievements/Trophies, which is certainly advantageous for those pursuing the elusive Platinum Trophy (although Game Pass users are no longer able to do so with Persona 5: Royal, regrettably).
