Earlier this month, Overwatch 2 kicked off Season 7, titled "Rise of Darkness," which introduced a range of Halloween and Diablo-inspired cosmetics. The seasonal update also brought forth a new map, alterations to group respawns, and significant changes to heroes, including a complete overhaul of Sombra.

The latest patch for Overwatch 2 includes various adjustments. One notable change is that the decay of endorsement levels has been slowed down for players who cannot receive endorsements from their teammates, such as when playing with friends or strangers repeatedly. This ensures that their endorsement level is not negatively affected. Additionally, the Victory screen now shows the player's total Progression Level instead of their level with a specific hero, allowing them to showcase their overall skill as a player.

In addition to these adjustments, the mid-season patch introduces the highly anticipated Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM crossover event. This collaboration, inspired by K-pop, features a new capture-the-flag game mode called Concert Clash, as well as exciting new challenges for players to complete. Players will also have the opportunity to purchase LE SSERAFIM skins for D.Va, Kiriko, Tracer, Brigitte, and Sombra. Additionally, they can earn a skin for Junkrat by participating in in-game challenges. The limited-time event will begin on November 1, directly following the release of the patch.

GENERAL UPDATES

Overwatch 2 has joined forces with the sensational K-pop group, LE SSERAFIM, for an exciting music collaboration within the game. Engage in Concert Clash, a 3v3 capture-the-flag game mode, set in the vibrant K-pop themed city of Busan. Take on the roles of D.Va, Kiriko, Tracer, Brigitte, and Sombra, all dressed in LE SSERAFIM-inspired attire, as you compete for tickets and capture objectives to earn points. This exclusive event will commence on Wednesday, November 1, at 11:00 AM PDT.

Endorsement level decay has been revamped to offer more leniency in certain situations. While the endorsement level still decreases slightly after each match, the extent of decay now depends on the percentage of players who were unable to endorse you. If none of the players in the match were eligible to endorse you, your Endorsement level will not decay. The following scenarios hinder other players from endorsing you:

- The player is on your friends list.

CHALLENGES

Added Legendary, Mythic, and Ultimate Player Title challenges to each hero's progression challenges.

PROGRESSION

Victory Pose now shows your Progression Level instead of the Hero Level.

The match text chat is now set to OFF by default (previously set to ON) for new players. To adjust this setting, go to the Social Options.

For new players, the team voice chat is now set to ON by default (previously set to AUTO-JOIN). To modify this setting, access the Social Options.

HERO CUSTOM CONTROL UPDATES

Attention from developers: In this balance patch, our primary aim is to increase the duration of combat for players by extending the period of time between significant cooldowns. This applies to abilities like Bastion's reconfigure, Cassidy's grenade, and various support utilities.

Movement speed penalty reduced from 40 to 30%.

Doomfist

The recent changes to D.Va's abilities have made her a more formidable presence on the battlefield. By increasing the speed of her Micro Missiles, her effectiveness at medium range has been significantly improved, ensuring a greater level of consistency. Additionally, the reduction in movement speed penalty when using her Fusion Cannons allows D.Va to remain closer to agile adversaries, enhancing her ability to dive into enemy lines and pose a greater threat. These adjustments have undoubtedly elevated D.Va's potential as a powerful force to be reckoned with.

Maximum wall stun duration decreased from 0.75 to 0.6 seconds.

Developer comments: This change will give the stunned player more opportunities to react to Doomfist following a wall stun.

The alternate fire's range for Winston has been extended from 30 meters to 40 meters. This change allows for greater flexibility in Winston's positioning when dealing damage from a distance.

Although her weapon already has drawbacks like needing to charge up and a reduced critical damage multiplier, we will assess the impact of this adjustment in conjunction with the decreased uptime of the Healing Pylon.
