The objective of this competition is essentially to cleanse the island of its native population, with the winner being whoever can kill the most inhabitants. Once the island is devoid of its original inhabitants, the World Government claims ownership, using it as they see fit. The God Valley, a small island, was chosen as the venue for this inhuman activity 38 years ago.

While the World Government was undoubtedly relieved by the annihilation of the Rocks Pirates, the manner in which they achieved this victory held far greater importance for them. Under no circumstances would the World Government confess to the public that they had required the assistance of a pirate to vanquish another pirate. They would sooner perish than acknowledge their dependence on a pirate to fulfill their duties.
