Amidst this ongoing struggle, Momonosuke remained resolute in his belief that Yamato should refrain from engaging in battle, as he no longer wished to depend on others to protect his homeland. Despite facing numerous setbacks, Momonosuke ultimately managed to replicate Kaido's powerful Bolo Breath technique, igniting Ryokugyu in a blaze.

In One Piece episode 1082, Sukiyaki guided Robin and Law underground, where they unexpectedly came across a Road Poneglyph. With just one more Poneglyph to find, they would be able to uncover the path to Laugh Tale.

Within the underground passage, they came across a glass block that revealed an entire city submerged under the water. Sukiyaki revealed that this city was the ancient Wano, dating back 800 years.

The city became submerged due to the surrounding walls of Wano, preventing the rainwater from draining out. Consequently, the people of Wano had no choice but to construct a new city at higher elevations in the mountains.

Sukiyaki further disclosed the existence of an ancient weapon, Pluton, which lay hidden within the old city and could only be accessed if the borders were unsealed. This revelation left everyone perplexed, as Oden had left behind instructions prior to his demise that the borders ought to be opened.
