Numerous Airbus Employees Suffer Illness Following Holiday Celebration

Dozens of employees at an Airbus subsidiary in France fell ill after a company Christmas party, turning a holiday celebration into a health concern

Approximately 100 employees of an Airbus subsidiary in France fell ill with a food-borne illness after attending a company Christmas party, the European aeronautics company confirmed.

The spokesperson did not mention the specific food type. According to the spokesperson, none of the Airbus employees were seriously affected by the December 15 incident, and all of them had returned to work by the following Monday.

Airbus Atlantic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Airbus specializing in airplane seats, was founded in January 2022. With 13,000 employees across five countries, the ill-fated Christmas lunch took place in France. The Airbus spokesperson stated that French health authorities are conducting an investigation into the outbreak of illness.

The Airbus spokesperson reassured that this seems to be an isolated incident and that all employees are on the road to recovery. Emphasizing that the well-being of their employees is their top priority, the spokesperson mentioned that they are working closely with the ARS health agency to investigate the root cause of the illness and prevent any future occurrences.
