North West is confident in her coolness. The 10-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently shared her adoration for fashion in an exclusive interview for i-D's The New Wave Issue, released on Tuesday, October 31. When questioned about her style inspiration, North confidently declared, "It's me."
The young student from elementary school also revealed her thoughts on her wardrobe. She mentioned that the most exciting item in her closet currently is a jacket from Michael Jackson, which was gifted to her by Kardashian, who is 43 years old and happens to be her mother. Although North possesses an enviable closet, she feels that there are a few specific items missing. She expressed her desire to have clothing items from both her mom and her dad, provided they fit her. Throughout the years, North has accumulated sought-after pieces from the rapper who is 46 years old.
During Haute Couture Week in Paris in July 2022, North caught everyone's attention wearing Kanye's cobalt blue varsity jacket from his now-defunct fashion brand, Pastelle. The jacket, originally debuted at the American Music Awards in 2008, features red paneling and a yellow logo. A decade after the closure of Pastelle, Kanye went on to establish Yeezy, a line of subtle apparel and knitted sneakers. In August, North sported the same iconic orange and blue striped Ralph Lauren polo that her father wore during his appearance on MTV's TRL in February 2004.
In a revealing episode of The Kardashians in July, Kardashian shared that she has preserved every Yeezy design that Kanye has created for their children. Aside from North, the former couple, who ended their six-year marriage in February 2021, also has a daughter named Chicago (5) and sons named Saint (7) and Psalm (4).

During the episode, Kardashian expressed her appreciation for the positive aspects that emerged from both her marriage and divorce. She revealed, "I have preserved each and every Yeezy item from that period. The truth is, life has undergone significant changes, and accepting that it can never return to what it once was is difficult and disheartening. However, I am determined to create wonderful memories for my children, and this collection will serve as a meaningful tribute for them."
North has a variety of interests including art and basketball, alongside her passion for fashion. When asked about her future aspirations, she expressed a desire to pursue a career as a basketball player and a rapper. Although she previously considered becoming a boxer at the age of 7, her current focus is on honing her artistic skills. As a way to support her artistic endeavors, she plans to walk dogs at the age of 13 to earn money for art supplies, given the high cost of materials. Her vision includes not only creating artwork but also selling it.
North expressed her desire to eventually take ownership of her parents' businesses, Yeezy and Skims.
During Kanye's Yeezy show at Paris Fashion Week in March 2020, North showcased her impressive singing skills by rapping, "This is my new team. Whoa! Whoa!" on stage.
Kardashian frequently uses social media to commend North's artistic abilities. In February 2021, the television personality expressed her admiration for a nature painting that drew comparisons to the distinctive style of renowned artist Bob Ross.
