No Mercy: Ori Dev Unveils Thrilling Game, No Respite for the Sinister

Prepare for an immersive journey into the depths of darkness with Ori Dev's highly anticipated action RPG, 'No Rest For The Wicked' Embark on an epic adventure as you unravel a gripping storyline, slated for early access release on PC in 2024

Moon Studios, the developer behind Ori, recently revealed their next game, No Rest for the Wicked, at The Game Awards. A departure from their usual style, this action-RPG boasts a more mature tone in its debut trailer. Early access for PC is scheduled for early 2024, with a full release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S to follow.

Set in a fictional kingdom in the year 841, the game features a chaotic battle for succession following the passing of a king. Amid this turmoil, a plague strikes the island of Sacra, prompting players to take up arms against menacing beasts and fend off invaders. No Rest for the Wicked promises tactile combat focused on skill and timing, as well as multiplayer for up to four players in online co-op.

The gameplay trailer displayed a multitude of terrifying images and monstrous creatures, along with a sneak peek of the isometric action combat. Moon has announced that it will unveil more details at the "Wicked Inside" digital showcase, set for March 1, 2024.

Moon Studios cofounder Thomas Mahler expressed excitement about contributing to the ARPG genre, stating, "We have longed to make our mark in the ARPG genre that we all grew up with and adore. After the success of Ori, it became evident to us that Moon was now ready to bring those dreams to fruition. We are eager to see how players will respond to this completely new approach to the genre!"

As a passionate fan of Ori and the Blind Forest, I was thrilled to hear about Moon Studios' latest project, No Rest for the Wicked. The game's darker tone and action-RPG gameplay are a departure from the studio's previous work, but I'm excited to see what they can do with this new genre. I'm also intrigued by the game's setting and story.
