For many of us, Jergens holds special beauty memories, especially with their Original Scent Cherry Almond lotion. That's why when the skincare company approached Nicole Ari Parker to collaborate on a Mother's Day project, she enthusiastically agreed.

Parker, who is 53 years old, worked with jewelry brand Adina Eden to co-design a bracelet inspired by Jergens' most iconic scent, Cherry Almond.

"It was such a special moment for me. Mother's Day is all about celebrating the amazing women in our lives - our moms, grandmas, and aunties. Jergens has always been a reliable brand, especially with their classic Cherry Almond scent," Parker shared with We.

The limited-edition Jergens x Adina Eden Bracelet is a beautiful accessory with a gold chain band and charming cherry and star details. You can get this exclusive bracelet on Jergens.com as a gift with purchase when you buy any Jergens Original Scent Cherry Almond product (spend $15 or more).

As Parker crafted the bracelet, she thought about her journey as a mother and her special bond with her own mom, Susan.

"The lovely gold link represents the strong connection between mothers and children, while the cherries symbolize love," Parker shared with Us. "It reminds me of the various stages of motherhood, from comforting us when we cried, to assisting with homework, and reminding us to moisturize our knees and elbows."

Parker joked that the best part of being a mom is getting to tell people what to do. She shares children Nicolas and Sophie with husband Boris Kodjoe.

On a more serious note, she expressed that the greatest award of motherhood is using everything that she has on her children.

Motherhood utilizes all our knowledge and intuition, enhancing our intellect but not necessarily our spirit. It allows us to love deeply and grow as a person. I truly believe that I have become a better human being because of my children.

Parker puts in effort to ensure her children feel loved and also encourages qualities like independence, resilience, resourcefulness, and curiosity, which were values instilled in her by her own mother. The actress reminisced how her mother would always tell her to "Look it up!" whenever she had a question, teaching her to rely on herself.

Parker's mom taught her the importance of kindness, which she believes also applies to beauty.

According to Parker, her mom used to say, "Pretty is as pretty does." This means that being kind, loving, and beautiful on the inside will reflect on the outside.

Parker learned some beauty and style tips from her character Lisa Todd Wexley, also known as LTW, on And Just Like That.

In an interview with Us, Parker mentioned that one of the tips she picked up from LTW is to not save the dress. LTW's wardrobe is described as artful, with scenes of her wearing couture while picking up her children or navigating through the snow.

That Valentino moment crossing Park Avenue was truly unforgettable. Wearing 15 feet of silk chiffon, specially designed for me by Pier Paolo Piccioli, along with the Philip Treacy headpiece, I felt on top of the world. I was unstoppable that day, and the feeling lasted for months after,” Parker shared with Us, reflecting on her character's Met Gala scene in season 2.

But that's not the only scene that stood out in LTW. In a later episode, Parker's character had a speaking engagement that was almost canceled due to a blizzard. Determined not to let anything stop her, she braved the storm, carrying her wig in a designer bag, and made it to the venue on time. Once inside, she put on the wig, a moment that was praised for its tribute to Black women.

As Black women, presentation has always been important historically. Our posture, the way we style our hair - it all matters. This moment showed how we always strive to present our best selves, no matter what challenges we face.

Fans found it refreshing when Parker was cast in the revival of the popular series Sex and the City. The original show, starring Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, lacked diversity. Alongside Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman also joined the show as friends of Carrie, Kristin Davis’ Charlotte York, and Cynthia Nixon’s Miranda Hobbes.

Nicole shared with Us that she found the inclusivity on the show to be refreshing and exciting. She mentioned that having Black women in the writers' room and incorporating diverse storylines in the episodes made her feel comfortable and supported. Nicole praised the cast and crew, calling them all amazing individuals.

Season 1 of And Just Like That premiered in December 2021 with season 2 following in June 2023. Season 3 will begin production in May.
