New Spice and Wolf Anime Sets Spring 2024 Release Date with Key Visual Unveiled

The new Spice and Wolf anime is set to premiere in April 2024

The official staff of the Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf TV anime has announced the release window for the show. The fantasy anime is set to air weekly starting in April 2024 on TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks in Japan. Fans outside of Japan will be able to watch the series on Crunchyroll, as they have licensed the show for worldwide streaming. Although a specific release date has not been announced yet, it is expected to be revealed soon.

In addition to the announcement of the release window, a new seasonal visual has been revealed featuring the show's deuteragonist, Holo. The "Holo x New Year" illustration depicts the wolf deuteragonist adorned in a vibrant red long-sleeved Kimono, engaging in the traditional Japanese game Hanetsuki.

This image notably represents the visual project of the anime, "Holo and the Tale of Four Seasons." Additionally, the anime's website is currently hosting a New Year's lottery until January 3, 2024, and it includes recorded voice lines by Ami Koshimizu (Holo's voice actor).

The latest Spice and Wolf anime boasts an exceptional lineup of talent. Takeo Takahashi, known for his work as an episode director in Spice and Wolf II, is back as the chief director, while Hijiri Sanpei leads the anime's direction at Studio Passione.

Kevin Penkin, renowned for his captivating work on Made in Abyss, The Rising of The Shield Hero, and other anime, is creating the music for the fantasy anime series. Juu Ayakura has also joined the team as the character designer.

Jun Fukuyama, known for his role as Yukio Okumura in the Blue Exorcist anime series, will be reprising his role as Kraft Lawrence in the upcoming Spice and Wolf anime. Additionally, Ami Koshimizu will also be returning to play Holo in the series. The new fantasy adventure anime promises to take viewers on an emotional journey as they follow the story of Kraft Lawrence and Holo, the Wolven girl he meets during his travels, and the unique deal they strike up.
