The legal drama series "Suits" could potentially make a return to television, but with a fresh and innovative approach. Originally airing on USA for a span of nine seasons (2011-2019), the show centered around the character Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, who worked as an associate in a New York City firm despite not having a license. Notably, Meghan Markle was also part of the cast before her union with Prince Harry.
Suits experienced a surprising comeback during the summer when it transitioned from Prime Video to Netflix. Currently, Netflix offers streaming for the first eight seasons, while Peacock has the entire series available. In June, the show achieved an impressive milestone by accumulating over 3 billion minutes of viewing time across both platforms, setting a new record on Nielsen's streaming charts for an acquired title. When this achievement was announced, series creator Aaron Korsh expressed his surprise and stated, "I always believed that we were underestimated, but it seems that even I underestimated the power of #Suits. It feels great to be the King."
The show's recent success has sparked rumors of a potential reboot. According to Deadline, on Thursday, October 12, Korsh was reported to be developing a new series in the Suits universe, not as a revival, reboot, or spinoff. This new series will introduce new characters, with a new cast, and be set in a different location, possibly Los Angeles.

A spinoff of the television series Suits was commissioned by USA in 2019, featuring attorney Jessica Pearson portrayed by Gina Torres. The show, titled Pearson, was unfortunately only on air for one season. However, after the recent surge in popularity of Suits through streaming platforms, producer Gene Klein expressed his anticipation for a potential revival.
"I mentioned to Aaron that, with all the reboots and reunions happening these days, I have a feeling I might receive a call at some point," Klein shared with the outlet in July. "However, I haven't heard of any significant discussions. It's just one of those things where, in today's world, it wouldn't be surprising if someone reached out to you someday."
He also acknowledged the potential challenges in bringing back the original cast members for a reunion, especially Markle, who portrayed the bold lawyer Rachel Zane during the show's first seven seasons. Markle's departure from the show was announced in November 2017 following her engagement to Prince Harry.
“I would assume that’s just not possible,” Klein said when asked if the duchess would return to the series.
