New Female Lead Joins Suits LA Spinoff

Suits L.A. has found its female lead for the spinoff show, currently in the pilot stage. The original USA Network legal drama Suits gained massive streaming success on Netflix and Peacock in 2023, even though it ended in 2019 after nine seasons. The NBC spinoff, set in Los Angeles, follows a new firm and stars Stephen Amell from Arrow as the lead, alongside Josh McDermitt as his law firm's co-founder.

According to Variety, Lex Scott Davis has been added to the cast of the Suits L.A. spinoff. Davis will portray Erica Rollins, an employee of Ted Black, played by Amell, described as a "savvy and strong-willed rising star" who understands the cutthroat nature of some of her colleagues. Further details about her character's storyline in the pilot have not been revealed at this time.

Before joining the Suits cast, Davis has had a wide variety of experience in television. So far, her longest-running role has been playing Cass Ray opposite Katey Sagal on all ten episodes of the short-lived dramedy Rebel, which also featured a legal procedural element. On top of that, she has appeared on multiple episodes of shows including The L Word: Generation Q, Training Day, and Florida Man.

Just like Suits L.A., The L Word Generation Q was a spinoff to a prominent show that came years after it went off the air.

Davis has not only made a name for herself on the small screen but has also taken on prominent roles in films. In 2018, she starred in Superfly as Georgia, the girlfriend of lead character Youngblood Priest (Trevor Jackson), and later joined the Purge franchise in The First Purge as Nya Charms, a young woman fighting against the government's plans for the Purge.
