Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, are teaming up to compete against his ex-wife, Christina Hall, and her new husband, Joshua Hall, in a new reality show called The Flip Off.
The show will feature a competition where the exes, along with their new spouses, will find, buy, renovate, and flip a house to see who can make the biggest financial gain and earn bragging rights. The series is set to premiere in early 2025 with Tarek and Christina bringing the drama to the flipping game.
Heather, aged 36, and Christina, aged 40, gave a sneak peek of their collaboration on Tuesday, May 14. They playfully teased Tarek, aged 42, by joking that he has a specific type. In a video posted on social media, Heather and Christina were dressed in matching black bustiers, ripped denim jeans, and high heels. Their blonde hair was styled in loose beachy waves as they twirled strands between their fingers.
The video started with Heather and Christina pretending to mix up each other's names while Tarek sat in front of them. Christina humorously attributed the confusion to "all that bleach," prompting Tarek to agree that it could be confusing.
Tarek and Christina gained fame from their show Flip or Flop, which ran for 10 seasons starting in 2013. They have a daughter named Taylor, 13, and a son named Brayden, 8. After being married for seven years, they announced their separation in December 2016 and finalized their divorce in 2018.
In 2019, Tarek started a relationship with Heather, and the two got engaged a year later. They got married in November 2021. In an exclusive reveal in January 2023, we shared that they welcomed a son named Tristan.
Tarek has openly discussed his divorce from Christina in the past. During an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show in April, he acknowledged that he had not been the best partner to Christina before they separated.
He explained that dealing with multiple cancer diagnoses, hormone imbalances, surgeries, and the absence of a thyroid can lead to actions that are out of character. Tarek emphasized that he was not trying to justify his behavior but rather provide context for it.
Tarek was diagnosed with stage II thyroid cancer in 2013, and shortly after, learned he had testicular cancer. He has since beaten both.
He shared, "What really broke me was my divorce. That was exponentially more difficult than every issue in my entire life put together. And somehow, I got through it."
Christina, for her part, moved on with Joshua, with whom she tied the knot in 2022.
