An original character from Law & Order: SVU makes a comeback in the trailer for Law & Order: Organized Crime season 4, episode 7. Christopher Meloni, who was part of the original cast of the show, is back to help Elliot Stabler in this episode. Stabler, played by Meloni, now leads his own team in the series, while occasionally needing assistance from his old friends.

In a clip from Law & Order: Organized Crime season 4, Cragen warns that Stabler is in danger. Stabler, a former SVU detective, is shown being held captive in a secret location.

Florek, like Meloni, was part of the original cast of Law & Order: SVU when it first premiered in 1999. While Meloni left the show due to pay issues in season 12, Florek continued to portray Captain Cragen of the 16th precinct in Manhattan until season 15. Despite some complications, both Stabler and Cragen played important roles in the first decade of Law & Order: SVU.
As the direct superior of Stabler and Benson for over a decade, Cragen was well aware of the strong bond between the two detectives. He had to break the news to Benson about Stabler's sudden departure from the force, witnessing how difficult it was for her to cope. Given their shared history, Cragen could play a key role in bringing the former partners together romantically. It's uncertain if Florek will also be making an appearance at his former workplace for a Law & Order: SVU cameo.
