Despite some fans questioning Naruto's strength after losing the Nine-Tailed Beast Kurama in the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations manga, there are strong arguments for him still being one of the most powerful characters in his universe. Naruto lost Kurama during a battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki, when the Nine-Tailed Beast sacrificed itself so that Naruto could use Baryon Mode to fight. Though both Naruto and Kurama were believed to perish, only Kurama's life force was used up.
How Naruto is still one of the strongest characters in the series

Naruto is a rare descendant of the strong Uzumaki clan, known for their powerful life forces and chakra reserves. Even without Kurama's chakra, Naruto would have been formidable due to his lineage. As the son of the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze, he was born with a significant chakra reserve. Despite his lack of chakra control, he demonstrated his immense chakra reserve by creating 1000 shadow clones in the first episode and mastering the Rasenshuriken. As he has grown older, his chakra reserves are likely even greater.

In terms of his various forms, despite losing access to the Tailed Beast Mode and Baryon Mode, the character still retains the ability to tap into the Sage Mode. He managed to master the technique that his mentor Jiraiya was never able to perfect, all without the assistance of Kurama. In fact, Kurama posed an active obstacle, as it prevented the Pa and Ma toads from aiding the Jinchuriki in gathering nature energy as he moved about.
As fans would know, Sage Mode significantly amplifies one's base strength and durability. It was also revealed that Orochimaru's Curse mark boosted the host's power by 10 times. Considering that Sage Mode is a much more intricate technique, the Seventh Hokage's already vast chakra reserve may be increased by over 20 times when using Sage Mode.

He also demonstrated his ability to defeat Kurama single-handedly using Sage Mode, allowing the Jinchuriki to extract chakra from the Tailed Beast. His accomplishments against Tailed Beasts are even more remarkable when considering the fact that he withstood the attack of the Ten-Tailed Beasts in his base form, while also protecting over 10,000 shinobi by sharing Kurama’s chakra.
Moreover, in The Last: Naruto the Movie, the Seventh Hokage showed his strength by punching a hole through the moon, following his resilience against a massive explosion, all while in his base form.
Momoshiki, as depicted in the anime by Studio Pierrot, was confronted by the Seventh Hokage during the Versus Momoshiki Arc. Initially fighting in his base form, Naruto eventually activated his Tailed Beast Chakra Mode when the battle proved challenging. This further supports the belief that Naruto remains the strongest, even without Kurama's assistance.
Editor's P/S
As a Naruto fan, I am thrilled to see that despite losing Kurama, Naruto's strength remains formidable. His Uzumaki lineage and immense chakra reserves make him a force to be reckoned with, even without the Nine-Tailed Beast's power. His mastery of Sage Mode and ability to defeat Kurama single-handedly demonstrate his incredible strength and determination. Naruto's accomplishments against Tailed Beasts and his ability to punch a hole through the moon further solidify his status as one of the most powerful characters in the Naruto universe.
However, I can understand why some fans may be concerned about Naruto's strength after losing Kurama. After all, Kurama was a powerful ally and a significant source of Naruto's strength. However, I believe that Naruto's own strength and abilities, combined with his unwavering determination, make him more than capable of overcoming any challenges that come his way. I am excited to see how Naruto continues to grow and develop as a character in the Boruto series, and I have no doubt that he will remain one of the strongest and most beloved characters in the Naruto universe.
