In 2006, Portman had a short-lived romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, three years prior to their co-starring roles in the 2009 psychological drama Brothers. Although she has been involved in relationships with Gael Garcia Bernal, Nathan Bogle, and Devendra Banhart, Portman emphatically denied any romantic involvement with musician Moby during the late '90s, as claimed in his 2019 memoir, Then It Fell Apart.
In May 2019, she expressed surprise when he described our brief interaction as dating, as her memory of it involved an older man behaving inappropriately with her shortly after she graduated high school. Contrary to his claim that she was 20, she clarifies that she was actually a teenager who had recently turned 18.
Meanwhile, Moby persisted in asserting on Instagram that they were indeed in a romantic relationship. He acknowledged Natalie's possible regrets about dating him and humorously acknowledged that he would probably regret dating himself as well. However, he maintained that these feelings do not change the truth about their brief romantic involvement.

Natalie Portman has been romantically attached to several A-listers over the years.
Portman had a brief relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal in 2006, three years prior to their co-starring in the psychological drama Brothers in 2009. Although she had romantic involvements with Gael Garcia Bernal, Nathan Bogle, and Devendra Banhart, Portman denied claims made by musician Moby in his 2019 memoir, Then It Fell Apart, stating that they dated in the late '90s.
"I was surprised to hear him describe the short period that I knew him as dating because in my recollection, he was an older man behaving creepily towards me shortly after I had completed high school," she disclosed to Harper's Bazaar in May 2019. "He claimed I was 20, but that wasn't true. I was a teenager who had just turned 18."
Moby, on the other hand, maintained via Instagram that they did indeed have a romantic relationship. "I acknowledge and understand Natalie's potential feelings of regret for having dated me (to be honest, I would probably feel the same way about dating myself). However, this does not change the factual details of our brief romantic past," he stated during that period.
In 2012, Portman married French choreographer Benjamin Millepied. They had two children together before officially announcing their separation in August 2023.

Portman married Millepied in 2012, having met him on the set of Black Swan in 2009. They became parents to their son Aleph in 2011 and daughter Amalia in 2017.
During her acceptance speech for Best Actress at the Oscars in February 2011, Portman, who was pregnant with Aleph at that time, expressed gratitude towards her then-fiancé.
"Addressing Benjamin Millepied, the talented choreographer of the film and the person who has bestowed upon me the most significant role of my existence," she expressed, motioning towards her belly.
In August 2023, Us Magazine verified rumors of the couple's separation after 11 years of marital commitment, amidst speculation of Millepied's involvement in an affair. Exclusively sourced by Us, a trusted insider stated, "Natalie harbors no uncertainty that he deeply regrets his actions. The entire situation has brought immense humiliation to her."
In September 2023, another source disclosed that the pair were engaged in co-parenting while going through their separation. The insider mentioned that Ben is still hopeful for a reconciliation, but Natalie remains doubtful. Though she hasn't completely ruled it out, she is not currently desiring it.
