Natalie Portman Reveals Shocking Truth About Benjamin Millepied's Regret Before Separation

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied have parted ways following his alleged affair, and the actress is convinced that he feels remorse for his actions. A confidential source in the latest edition of We magazine reveals that Natalie firmly believes he regrets his actions and acknowledges that their relationship has been significantly affected ever since. The situation was deeply humiliating for Natalie.

Rumors circulated in June about a potential affair between Millepied, aged 46, and Camille Étienne, a 25-year-old climate activist. On Monday, August 7, it was confirmed by Us that Portman, aged 42, and Millepied had ended their 11-year marriage. Their relationship began in 2009 while filming Black Swan, and they celebrated their anniversary on Saturday, August 4.

Despite efforts to reconcile, a second source reveals that the couple, who have two children together, were unsuccessful in resolving their issues. The source explains that the damage was irreparable, leading Portman to be unable to forgive Millepied, resulting in her decision to take a break for the time being.

Allegedly, Millepied's reported infidelity served as the final breaking point, but the first insider reveals that problems had been brewing between him and Portman for quite some time. According to this insider, the passionate connection had been absent for an extended period.

However, despite their relationship troubles, Portman is currently channeling her attention towards her children, her career, and self-care. She still holds the belief that Millepied is an exceptional father to their two children, Aleph (12) and Amalia (6).

Portman was seen without her wedding ring at the Angel City Equity Summit on Saturday, coincidentally her anniversary. Walking in Sydney, Australia, she had her hands in her pockets, dressed in a gray blazer, white button-down, and jeans. Notably, her wedding ring was absent from her left hand when she removed it from her pockets. In June, a source revealed that Portman was considering the possibility of rebuilding trust with Millepied after the affair, in order to provide a stable home for their children.

A second insider revealed that Portman was uncertain about the future of her relationship with her husband after the scandal. They are currently engaging in discussions and working together to prioritize their children's well-being.

Portman and Millepied became husband and wife in 2012, after being engaged for two years. In 2017, Portman expressed that meeting Millepied during the filming of Black Swan was more significant to her than winning an Oscar for her role. She described the experience as incredibly special, enjoyable, and remarkable.
