Nacon's New Budget Xbox Controllers: Affordable Gaming for Fall

Game publisher and peripheral maker Nacon has just announced a new range of budget Xbox controllers. Nacon has a strong history as a hardware manufacturer, offering a wide array of alternate controllers for both PC and Xbox systems. Their special models are even able to connect to mobile devices and play games through Xbox Game Pass’s cloud services. As a publisher and distributor, Nacon has a long list of third-party titles that includes upcoming games like RoboCop: Rogue City and Terminator: Resistance developer Teyon.

The importance of hardware in gaming cannot be understated, and recently there has been an abundance of alternative controllers for Xbox platforms. For instance, Xbox announced a special edition controller at the beginning of May inspired by the colors of OPI nail polish, followed shortly after by an Artic Cameo variant released in honor of Military Appreciation Month. However, these additional versions of the standard Xbox controller often come with the same price tag or even a higher one.

According to Pure Xbox, Nacon has revealed a new range of Xbox controllers as part of the Bigben Week 2023 celebration. These “EVOL-X” controllers are licensed officially and will be available in stores from September. The European pricing for these controllers is €34.99 (roughly $37.69), while prices for other regions are yet to be disclosed. The collection will include six Xbox color schemes such as silver, transparent with LED lighting, metallic red, and metallic blue.

The Nacon EVOL-X Xbox controllers boast an impressive range of features aimed at enhancing the gaming experience. Players can enjoy the added stimulation of four vibration motors, perfect for immersing themselves in titles such as Hi-Rush. The controllers also offer a standard wired USB connection with a 3m detachable cable, as well as a reinforced 3.5mm jack for added durability. A non-slip surface ensures a comfortable grip during lengthy gaming sessions, while larger action buttons offer improved ease and comfort of use. Additionally, concave stick heads are designed to better fit thumbs and improve handling. All of these features are available at an affordable price, making Nacon's EVOL-X line an attractive option for budget-conscious gamers. As the planned September release date approaches, more details will likely emerge regarding pricing outside of Europe.
