Sister Wives star Mykelti Brown recently opened up about the impact of her brother Garrison Brown’s passing. Mykelti, 27, shared a video with her Patreon subscribers, revealing that she was in Flagstaff with her husband and family when the sad news was received. Despite the pain of losing her brother, Mykelti remains optimistic, focusing on the fact that he is now free from pain and sadness in a better place.

Mykelti mentioned that despite the sadness of the situation, there was a silver lining. She pointed out that her entire family came together after many years to honor Garrison's life. His funeral took place on Saturday, March 9.

She expressed her belief that Garrison would have been pleased with this gathering. Mykelti emphasized that Garrison would not have wanted his loved ones to put their lives on hold. It was important to him that they continued to pursue their dreams and live their lives to the fullest.

Mykelti mentioned that they have more ways to remember him in the next few months, such as a Brown family reunion.

On March 5, it was confirmed that Garrison, aged 25, passed away in Flagstaff, Arizona, from an apparent suicide. He was discovered by his brother Gabriel Brown before authorities arrived at the scene of what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Garrison’s parents, Kody Brown and Janelle Brown, shared a message together after their son’s passing.

In their statement posted on social media, they expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of their beloved son, Robert Garrison Brown. They described him as a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew him. The void left by his absence is so immense that it feels overwhelming. They kindly requested for privacy during this difficult time and asked for support in remembering him.

Garrison and Mykelti are two of Kody and Jenelle's six children. Kody is also the father of 12 other children whom he shares with Meri Brown, Christine Brown, and Robyn Brown. They are the parents of Logan, 29, Hunter, 27, Gabriel, 22, and Savanah, 19.

Mykelti candidly expressed that dealing with the death of a loved one "sucks" before asking fans not to inquire about Garrison.

"We have all come to realize that our lives are not really private," she expressed. "However, this is our own personal space. I am grateful to all of you. Thank you for going through this journey with me and for always being there."
