Unlocking fresh crafting recipes can be accomplished through the following methods:

Finding New Resources

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria offers a plethora of resources for players to discover. From scattered pieces of wood to iron embedded in the walls, the mesmerizing realm of Moria provides ample opportunities for gathering valuable materials. By chopping down trees, dismantling old buildings, and defeating Goblins, players can acquire a wide variety of resources. Gathering all available resources not only ensures a well-stocked inventory but also unlocks new crafting recipes.

Repairing Damaged Statues

To acquire crafting recipes in Return to Moria, the primary method is to restore the broken statues discovered in the isolated rooms and tunnels of Moria. In order to repair these damaged statues, players will need an Iron Hammer and ten stone blocks. Crafting an Iron Hammer involves using four Wood Scraps and two Iron ingots. Once players have gathered all the necessary materials, they can simply approach the statue and press the E key to initiate the repair process.

As the statues undergo restoration, players will be granted either random crafting recipes or specific components of recipes as rewards. Given the abundance of statues scattered throughout the ruins of Moria, players have ample opportunities to obtain fresh recipes.

Completing Muznakans

Muznakans, which can be found in different areas of Moria, are miniature shrines that honor Dwarven family legacies. Players will encounter their first Muznakan near Ori’s Outpost, serving as a memorial for deceased Dwarves.

Many of these shrines are not yet finished, with incomplete carvings on their statues. However, scattered throughout the ruins of Moria are Muznakan Carvings, which can be used to complete the missing parts. Once restored, these shrines reveal hidden treasures such as unique crafting recipes, as well as new Weapons and Armor.

Lord of the Rings: Return To Moria is available on PC. The PS5 version launches on December 5, and the Xbox Series X/S version is scheduled to release in early 2024.
