Missing Marvel Heroes: Major Characters Yet to be Featured in Marvel Snap Cards

Missing Marvel Heroes: Major Characters Yet to be Featured in Marvel Snap Cards

Marvel SNAP's extensive card collection falls short by excluding several iconic characters from Marvel's rich history, leaving fans yearning for the inclusion of these notable personalities

Highlights

Marvel SNAP has a diverse range of characters, but there are still notable omissions. Future expansions can rectify this by adding missing heroes and villains.

Marvel SNAP is lacking prominent characters such as Ben Reilly, US Agent, Scream, and Anti-Venom. These characters deserve their own cards and it is hoped that future expansions will include them.

Marvel SNAP has already featured characters from various parts of the Marvel universe. However, there are still notable names missing from the game's growing card count. As Marvel SNAP expands, it is likely that these missing heroes and villains will eventually be included. After five expansions, there are certain characters that should have already been added to the game. Both heroes and villains have notable absences, but future expansions can address this.

Marvel SNAP is among the best deck-building games in recent times and has gained widespread popularity. A significant factor contributing to its success is the use of the Marvel license, which introduces well-known and well-loved characters into the game. While Captain America and Iron Man are expected, Marvel SNAP goes beyond and includes lesser-known characters like Hell Cow and Wave, making for unexpected and exciting choices. These characters can compete alongside the more prominent Marvel heroes, and with the range of cards available, Marvel SNAP appeals to both card players and Marvel fans. However, there are still potential additions that can enhance the game further.

Marvel SNAP is Missing a Few Notable Characters From its Roster

Missing Marvel Heroes: Major Characters Yet to be Featured in Marvel Snap Cards

Several heroes who are noticeably absent from Marvel SNAP come as a surprise. For instance, former substitute Captain America, U.S. Agent, is nowhere to be found in the game, despite other characters like Bucky, Falcon, and Patriot already being present. Another missing hero is Daredevil's apprentice, Blindspot, who played a significant role in recent stories. Additionally, the absence of Ben Reilly, the Scarlet Spider, a second Spider-Man with a striking appearance, is quite notable. Although these characters may not be the most well-known crimefighters in the Marvel universe, they have all been associated with major heroes and deserve to have their own representation in the game.

Marvel SNAP cannot have heroes without villains, and considering the immense power showcased by some villains in the game, it is reasonable to expect the inclusion of more formidable foes. It is surprising that Spiral, who has recently regained her soul from Mojo, does not have a card, despite her distinctiveness as a character. Another missing villain is Boomerang, who played a significant role in Nick Spencer's recent comic run. In a more unexpected suggestion, Stilt-Man could be included, known for being comically weak but still recognized in the Marvel universe. Marvel SNAP could certainly give him an ability that is entertaining, if not particularly useful.

The presence of Venom in the game's cards is severely lacking in Marvel SNAP, despite Spider-Man's strong presence. Ambiguity surrounds whether the Venom card represents Eddie or Flash, with Carnage being the only other card related to the series. Unfortunately, the game neglects Andi Benton, a teenage superheroine who has assumed three symbiote superhero identities (Mania, Scream, and Silence), none of which are represented in Marvel SNAP. Similarly, characters like Anti-Venom, Toxin, and Lee Price have been disregarded. Despite being a significant part of Spider-Man's mythos, the Venom branch has been neglected in Marvel SNAP.

Although Marvel SNAP has showcased a considerable portion of the Marvel universe, there is still ample room for expansion. Introducing new Marvel SNAP cards could prove to be highly successful, and there is no reason why the aforementioned characters couldn't achieve the same popularity with their unique abilities. While the game has already included most of the well-known Marvel characters, there is still progress to be made in terms of including recognizable names. Hopefully, future expansions will incorporate these characters into Marvel SNAP, satisfying fans' desire to see them in the game.

Marvel SNAP is available now for Android, iOS, and PC.
