Miranda and Melanie Wilking gathered to celebrate Melanie's marriage to NFL player Austin Ekeler, but there's a twist. The Wilking sisters, known for their TikTok dance videos, have had a rocky relationship for years, as shown in the Netflix series Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult.
Miranda, now known as Miranda Derrick since marrying James Derrick in 2021, attended Melanie's wedding ceremony on Saturday, May 25. Their fans and followers couldn't help but notice her presence.
On Monday, May 27, Miranda shared on Instagram about the wonderful time she had at her sister's wedding. She posted a few pictures from the extravagant event.
Miranda looked stunning in a black dress, clutching a sparkly purse as she smiled and gazed into the distance before the ceremony. The beautiful event took place at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
Accompanied by her husband, James, Miranda also posted a fun photo from the wedding's photo booth on her Instagram Stories. However, eagle-eyed fans observed that Miranda did not seem to have any pictures with her sister on the special day.

One person commented on Miranda's post, saying, "We needed a shot of you and the bride." Another person wrote, "So glad you went! Hoping this means you guys are close again."
Melanie also did not include any photos with her sister in her celebratory wedding Instagram post. People reported that the wedding was "very small" and Melanie's two best friends served as flower girls.
The current status of the sisters' relationship is unknown, but they did gather to celebrate Melanie's birthday recently.
Miranda took to Instagram on April 17th to wish her sister a happy birthday, posting a sweet message: "Happy Birthday to my lovely sister @melaniewilking! I adore you! Enjoy your special day."
Melanie left a comment on the post expressing her gratitude for the special day and ended it with a heart emoji. The birthday celebrations also featured James, Melanie, Miranda, and their parents, who were featured in an interview on the Netflix series.
Dancing for the Devil is a book that narrates the story of 7M Management, a firm established by Robert Shinn, the ex-founder of Shekinah Church. Back in 2009, Shinn faced a lawsuit from Lydia Chung, a former church member, accusing him of isolating her from her family, brainwashing her, and cheating her out of $3.8 million in property and money.
The Wilkings have a similar account involving Miranda, who was also allegedly cut off from her family by Shinn in pursuit of her dream of becoming a dance superstar.
Some clients of 7M, interviewed in Dancing for the Devil, compare their experience to being in a “cult.”
In 2022, a spokesperson for Shinn issued a statement to the Times U.K. stating, “Dr. Shinn never isolated anyone, restricted anyone’s diet, compelled anyone to exercise, or managed anyone’s finances. Dr. Shinn does not support or promote the prosperity gospel.”
Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult drops Wednesday, May 29, on Netflix.
