Eman Esfandi's portrayal of Ezra Bridger in the Ahsoka episode 1 had a standout moment that paid homage to his character's history. While fans were thrilled to see their beloved animated characters come to life in Ahsoka, there was one noticeable absence - Zeb, the Lasat warrior from Star Wars Rebels. Interestingly, Zeb had already made a live-action cameo appearance before the release of Ahsoka episodes 1 and 2.

Star Wars Has Already Introduced Zeb In Live-Action

While Ahsoka's story picks up directly from the conclusion of Star Wars Rebels, Zeb makes his live-action debut in The Mandalorian. In episode 5 of The Mandalorian season 3, Greef Karga seeks out Carson Teva to request assistance from the New Republic in defending Nevarro against a pirate attack. After watching Karga's message, Teva stands at the bar in the Adelphi New Republic base. To his surprise, Zeb himself appears in live-action, wishing his fellow New Republic pilot good luck.

Zeb's appearance in The Mandalorian season 3 was highly anticipated. Steve Blum returned to voice Zeb, as he did in Star Wars Rebels, and the character's design was outstanding. The CGI-practical hybrid creation seamlessly blended into its surroundings. According to actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, Ahsoka takes place at the same time as season 3 of The Mandalorian. In The Mandalorian season 3, Zeb is spotted on the planet Adelphi. While it hasn't been officially confirmed, it is likely that Adelphi is located in the Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy. This assumption is based on Teva's frequent visits to planets outside of the Core Worlds. Therefore, it is probable that Zeb is off having his own adventures in the Outer Rim during the events of Ahsoka episodes 1 and 2. However, Zeb's appearance in The Mandalorian offers the possibility of seeing the beloved Lasat character in future episodes of Disney+'s latest Star Wars series.
