Shaquille O'Neal, despite retiring from the NBA in 2011, continues to maintain an active lifestyle. This is evident in his recent gym workout, as showcased in a video posted on his Instagram account on Thursday, August 3. At the age of 51, O'Neal is seen preparing to lift weights, humorously referring to his former self as Phil Heath and expressing his determination to reach his fitness goals with the help of Novex Biotech's GF9 supplement.
The basketball legend entered the room and forcefully ripped his grey tank top in half. After discarding his shirt, O'Neal proceeded towards his weight bench to begin a repetition. To intensify his motivation, he incorporated a monologue from the anime Tokyo Ghoul as the backdrop of the video.
"I was born with an innate drive to surpass mediocrity, and I appreciate it," the voiceover remarked confidently. "I embody the spirit of a warrior, a relentless force capable of unleashing raw power. My only aspiration is to revel in the glorious victory. Compassion is irrelevant, surrender is reserved for the feeble-minded. I am determined to conquer this world and embrace all its offerings. No obstacles can hinder my path."
O’Neal, renowned for his basketball career with notable teams such as the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat, the Phoenix Suns, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Boston Celtics, has recently been open and honest about his personal journey towards better health, driven by his desire to shed excess weight.

"I have already shed 40 pounds, and I still have around 20 more to go, but it's truly remarkable," he shared with Entertainment Tonight in December 2022. "I plan to achieve a sculpted physique and even star in an underwear advertisement alongside my sons."
When speaking to the outlet, O'Neal, who has four children with his former spouse Shaunie O'Neal and a daughter named Taahirah with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, attributed his success to maintaining a healthy diet."
"I used to be focused on being an athlete rather than eating healthy. I disregarded any advice regarding nutrition and didn't care about it at all," O'Neal reflected on his journey to improve his fitness and habits. "Even at the age of 50, I had no knowledge about the difference between carbs and protein. It was completely foreign to me. My doctor started telling me what I couldn't eat, emphasizing the need for more vegetables due to my low iron levels. Once I started making these specific changes, I noticed a significant drop in weight."
He further commented, "In addition to making dietary changes, I also began taking supplements and drinking shakes. These modifications contributed to the weight loss. Although I'm not yet operating at 100 percent ninja mode, I've reached about 75 percent."
