In this 2020 remake, during their initial meeting, Aerith makes a comment that suggests she is somehow aware of Cloud's past affiliation with SOLDIER, a powerful warrior group within the Shinra Electric Power Company. She also correctly identifies Cloud as a mercenary during the same scene in the English version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
