Michael Bolton is currently prioritizing his recovery and healing after facing an unexpected medical issue during the holiday season. The 70-year-old musician and singer revealed on his official Facebook page that he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to undergo surgery right before the holidays.

Bolton expressed gratitude for his "amazing medical team" and confirmed that the surgery was successful. He is currently recovering at home and will be taking a temporary break from touring in order to focus on his recovery for the next few months, as shared in his social media post.

"I always find it incredibly difficult to let my fans down or reschedule a performance, but rest assured, I am diligently working on speeding up my recovery and returning to the stage as soon as possible," he said.

Bolton's official website states that he had tour dates planned in Florida in early February, with a show in Indio, California scheduled for February 9.

Shows were also scheduled to take place in Canada, Switzerland and elsewhere in the United States through the end of May. Information on rescheduled shows is not yet available.
