Mia Alario Calls out Leva Bonaparte for Hypocrisy Over Drinking Policy: Southern Hospitality Exclusive

Mia Alario confronts Leva Bonaparte in an intense showdown on 'Southern Hospitality', challenging her boss on a controversial drinking rule Get an exclusive sneak peek into their combative exchange in Us Weekly's new clip

Mia Alario goes toe-to-toe with boss Leva Bonaparte over her new drinking rules in We’s exclusive sneak peek of the Southern Hospitality season 2 premiere.

"Are you seeking an apology from Lucía [Peña] for drinking while on duty?" 25-year-old Mia asks 44-year-old Leva in a preview of the December 7th episode of the Bravo series, referencing their coworker who was recently found drinking during her shift.

Leva is surprised by Mia's question, but she expresses that receiving an apology from Lucía would hold personal significance, particularly after Leva supported her return to work after having a child and kept her employed for seven years.

“[You brought her back] after having a baby? After maternity leave, basically what normal companies do for women?” Mia quips as stunned VIP manager Maddi Reese watches.

Mia Alario and Leva Bonaparte, co-owner of Republic Garden & Bar with her husband, Lamar Bonaparte, had a surprising exchange. Leva asked, "What are you doing, Mia?" to which Mia responded, "I'm upset."

Mia tells Leva that she is disturbed by the hypocrisy she sees in her as a boss, which only serves to worsen Leva's anger. In response, Leva argues, "If you are in the back of the house and you are drinking, you will be immediately fired. That's the rule. Have you ever read your manual? If you drink back here, you’re done."

Mia expresses her confusion about Leva's perspective, stating that she doesn't understand where she is coming from and doesn't get it. Frustrated, the Southern Charm star tells Mia that she doesn't need her to understand. As a final attempt to convince Leva, Mia mentions that employees have been drinking in the establishment numerous times. Leva responds by asking who exactly she allowed to drink on the premises, implying that those caught drinking on shift will be fired.

Maddi, 26, chose to remain silent in the preview, but she did open up to Us earlier this month about the uncomfortable moment she saw between Leva and Mia.

"Leva really lays down the law this season when it comes to our work, including our uniforms and drinking," Maddi exclusively told Us. "So, I think most of us were genuinely concerned about our jobs."

She insisted that Leva was not on a “power trip” despite what some of her castmates may say about their boss after the strict enforcement of the “no drinking” rule.

"I believe Leva is invested in her business. If drinking is allowed, what other boundaries will be crossed?" Maddi expressed. "I sense that Leva is dedicated to our company's success. However, there are moments when it seems like our team members are thinking, 'Let us take the lead. Trust that we are capable and proficient.' Nevertheless, it is her business in the end. She has a strong passion for it just like us, but she wants to ensure it excels to the best of its ability."

Southern Hospitality season 2 premieres on Bravo Thursday, December 7, at 9 p.m. ET. New episodes will be available the next day on Peacock.
