This year, with Halloween quickly approaching, a passionate Pokemon fan has decided to embrace the spooky atmosphere by showcasing their impressive collection of Eeveelutions inspired by the popular holiday. Although these Eeveelutions are not official, they creatively incorporate various classic Halloween elements, capturing the attention of many other members in the Pokemon fan community.
Eevee, a Normal-type Pokemon that has been present in the long-standing franchise since its inception, has consistently remained a beloved character among fans. This Pokemon possesses a unique ability to evolve into eight distinct forms, each with its own characteristic typing: Sylveon, Umbreon, Espeon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. Initially, Eevee's evolutionary options in Generation 1 were limited to Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. However, subsequent generations introduced additional forms in Generations 2, 4, and 6. Over the years, fans have creatively imagined and designed new Eeveelutions, leading to captivating fan art pieces like the ones showcased below.
A Reddit user known as In-ProgressPokemon has shared an impressive collection of Halloween-themed Eeveelutions on one of the popular Pokemon forums. This series of illustrations showcases nine unique designs, each accompanied by a suitable name and typing. The first one, called Spookeon, resembles an Umbreon draped in a ghostly sheet. Following that is Candeon, which draws inspiration from candy corn. Witcheon cleverly incorporates a broom for its tail, while Pumpkeon resembles a Leafeon regional variation. Lastly, Howleon depicts a werewolf-like transformation of Eevee.
In addition to these, there are other Halloween-themed Eeveelutions to explore. Mummeon, referred to as the "Tomb-type", brings an eerie touch to the collection. Swampeon, known as the "Creature-type", resembles a fusion of Squirtle and the Creature from the Black Lagoon, captivating fans with its resemblance. Lastly, Cerbeon emerges as a demonic version of Umbreon, featuring three menacing heads. This impressive display of holiday-themed artwork has garnered significant attention from the Pokemon community, rapidly accumulating upvotes in the hundreds within just a few hours. The comments section has become a haven for fans, as they share their admiration for their preferred designs in the collection.
Besides In-ProgressPokemon, other Pokemon fans have also created their own Eeveelutions. One fan recently introduced three new types of Eeveelutions, all belonging to the ground typing in the Pokemon canon. These include Veneon, a Poison-type, Bug-type Motheon, and Dragon-type Wyvereon. Although these new Eeveelutions are not related to Halloween, the ongoing creativity of Pokemon fans demonstrates the enduring popularity of Eevee and its diverse forms.
