Several songs have been modified, such as the removal of Karen and Gretchen’s parts from “Meet the Plastics” and the shift of the main singers for Apex Predator from Janice and Cady to Janice and Damien. Additionally, Aaron Samuels, portrayed by Christopher Briney, does not sing at all in the entire movie.

The last song on the list is not a traditional musical number, but rather the credits song performed by Megan Thee Stallion and Rapp.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Angourie Rice, who portrays Cady, talked about the music featured in the movie. She discussed the significance of the song "Cautionary Tale," explaining that it sets the stage for the audience by signaling that the story has been told before and remains relevant.

Rice also revealed that a whole day per week of filming was dedicated to the number "Revenge Party," emphasizing that it wasn't a one-time event, but rather a continual process throughout the production.

The actor emphasized the dedication and passion of musical theatre fans, noting the huge responsibility when a favorite musical or movie gets adapted. The official synopsis of the movie "Mean Girls" revolves around new student Cady Heron's experience with the popular clique called the Plastics, led by Regina George. Falling for Regina's ex-boyfriend sets off a chain of events that place Cady in the group's spotlight. The movie currently has a 72% Critics' Score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Mean Girls will be available in US cinemas on January 12, and UK cinemas on January 17.
