Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater clarified their public hand-holding as they expressed gratitude on Instagram. The real estate agent and "Dancing with the Stars" pro, currently partnered on the ballroom competition show, thanked viewers for their continued support and addressed a matter.
"We would like to address the rumors circulating about Emma and me being in a romantic relationship," stated Umansky. "To clarify, we are not dating."
Umansky, who has previously featured alongside his wife Kyle Richards on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," is presently separated from her.
Slater backed him up, said, "Were not dating."
Umansky continued, "We are really good friends. Weve been dancing together now for six weeks, four hours a day, every single day."
Umansky described the picture of them holding hands as an expression of friendship.
"This week has been incredibly emotional for me, and I've managed to connect with those emotions, which is something I find challenging," he expressed. "The experience has been intense, and it has truly fostered an exceptionally unique connection."
Umansky said the two had just gotten some sushi and were connecting about the week when the photo was taken.
"And then all of a sudden were dating," Slater said.
"Thats it. Hope that clarifies. Thats the end of that story," Umansky said.
