In Warzone's DMZ mode, players can undertake various faction missions, including the Zero Tolerance Faction Mission and the Fuel Shortage Mission, to advance in the game. One of these missions, the Fuel Shortage Mission, is part of the Tier 1 challenge and involves siphoning gas. This recent addition to Warzone's DMZ mode has left many fans feeling perplexed and stranded within this faction.
While siphoning fuel may seem straightforward, the DMZ's siphon mission is anything but simple. It necessitates strategic execution and careful planning to successfully acquire fuel from parked boats and cars, ensuring a constant supply never dwindles.
How to Siphon Gas in DMZ Mode
The Warzone 2 Season 4 Fuel Shortage Mission has two main objectives:
Siphon gas from a vehicle on Ashika Island.
To refuel a car, players need to utilize the gas can. In order to successfully complete the mission, players must first search for a gas can within Warzone 2 maps like the new Vondel map, Ashika Island, and Al Mazrah. Look for gas stations on any of these maps, which are marked with a fuel pump icon, and proceed to retrieve a gas can. Once the gas can is obtained, players should place it in a backpack and then locate a stationary vehicle or boat on Ashika Island. The vehicle or boat can be any type, such as an ATV, land vehicle, or jet ski, as long as it is capable of being driven.
Players should locate the car and hop on it to board, without starting to drive. Instead, they need to open the backpack and select the gas can, which will prompt a menu on the screen. From this menu, they should choose the "siphon gas" button to start extracting fuel from the car into the gas can. The specific button may vary depending on the platform being used to play Warzone or the keybind settings on the PC. PlayStation players can click R3, while Xbox users can press RS.
Once the player presses the siphon gas button, the process is essentially complete, fulfilling the first objective. If the button does not work when pressed, it indicates that the gas can is already full. In this case, players will need to use another empty gas can to siphon the fuel.
To fulfill the second objective, players must transfer the siphoned fuel to a different vehicle. While some players have reported success by refueling the same car, this method has proven ineffective for most. For a guaranteed completion of the objective, players should locate another vehicle on Ashika Island, drive it around to deplete its fuel, and then replenish it using the gas can. A helpful tip for Ashika Island is to siphon gas on less crowded roads to avoid encountering opponents during the fuel shortage mission.
