With the release of the extensive 2.0 update, Cyberpunk 2077 underwent significant changes to its skill trees and a complete overhaul of the cyberware system. However, the most intriguing aspects of both these modifications are reserved for higher-level characters, leaving new players with a more basic cover-shooter style of gameplay.
Fortunately, the latest Cyberpunk 2077 update also introduced new strategies for XP farming. The patch ensures that enemy difficulty scales based on the player's level, allowing everyone to explore the entire city after completing the heist at Konpeki Plaza. While the previous leveling methods in Watson still remain viable, there are now better options available for players who wish to delve into the game's buildcrafting aspect at a faster pace.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 XP Farming Route
Players should note that doing gigs and quests can provide a significant amount of XP, Eddies, and Street Cred, making them more efficient for overall progress. However, for those specifically focused on farming XP and loot, the following location is highly recommended.
In Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.0, one of the best spots for XP farming is in Pacifica. Starting from Westwind Estate and following the shoreline to the northern boardwalk, players will encounter numerous gangoons in abandoned stores and beach shacks. Clearing out these areas will yield a substantial amount of XP and Street Cred.
Enemy spawn points are indicated on the map provided. Players have the opportunity to repeatedly engage the gang members at these locations. Upon completing a thorough clearance, players should move to a distant area and remain there for a period between 24 and 72 hours. By doing so, all spawn points are expected to be replenished, although the density of enemies may be lower compared to the initial encounter. The golden marker denotes the Scav den's location. If players return to the stairs leading to the Grand Imperial Mall and wait for at least 24 hours, roughly twelve enemies will respawn here. Clearing this group should be quick, depending on the player's build, and is much faster than running the entire Pacifica beach farming route.
Enemy spawns seem to be random. Upon running the route again after a full clear, players may observe that not all spawn points are repopulated, resulting in lower enemy density. For those seeking to achieve maximum density, it may be advisable to wait a few more in-game days and engage in other activities in a different part of the city before checking if the Pacifica farm route has been fully repopulated.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
