Obtaining Dried Fur is not an effortless task, and many Enshrouded players may encounter challenges in acquiring the necessary amount during the initial phases of their journey. This guide will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the crafting process, ensuring that you can master the art of crafting Dried Fur with ease and efficiency.
Enshrouded: Dried Fur Crafting Recipe
Similar to other specialized materials like Metal Sheets, Dried Fur is crafted at a specific crafting station known as the Drying Rack. To access the Drying Rack, players need to rescue the Hunter, who becomes the second base NPC after obtaining the Blacksmith from the first Ancient Vault.
Crafting the Drying Rack requires gathering Wood Logs and String, followed by interacting with the Hunter to initiate the construction process. Once the Drying Rack is in place, players can interact with it and select the recipe for Dried Fur.
The ingredients for crafting Dried Fur include Animal Fur and Salt. Animal Fur can be obtained from various animals in the game, or players can collect Fur Patches from rats and convert them into Animal Fur by consulting with the Hunter. Salt, on the other hand, is abundant in the Egerton Salt Mines, located west of the first Ancient Spire in Springlands.

Navigating the Egerton Salt Mines
Venturing into the Egerton Salt Mines requires preparation, as the area is teeming with enemies and shrouded in the mysterious Shroud. Players should equip themselves with adequate gear, pickaxes, and Shroud Survival Potions if they plan to explore the mines extensively.
It's advisable to strategize an exit route, especially as Shroud resistance diminishes over time. The journey through the Egerton Salt Mines demands vigilance and careful planning to ensure a safe and successful expedition.
Crafting Dried Fur
Once players have gathered the required furs and salt, they can return to the Drying Rack and initiate the crafting process. Placing the materials inside the rack will automatically convert them into Dried Fur, albeit requiring a few minutes for completion.
During the waiting period, players can engage in other activities to optimize their time. Additionally, if the conversion process seems sluggish, players have the option to build additional Drying Racks and distribute the ingredients among them for expedited results.
Utilizing Dried Fur
Dried Fur serves as a fundamental component for crafting a superior backpack, providing an additional eight inventory slots. Furthermore, this material is essential for creating early armor sets and comfort-enhancing furniture such as beds and rugs.
