Mastering Team Composition: Unleash the Full Potential in Persona 5 Royal

Master the art of customization in Persona 5 Royal as players unlock the ability to seamlessly switch team members, empowering them to tailor their party composition to conquer any challenge

Persona 5 Royal places a strong emphasis on strategy and tactics, allowing players to customize their teams and Persona rosters. The game encourages players to experiment with Skill Cards and team combinations until they find the perfect fit for their preferred playstyle. Each Phantom Thief has a unique role in combat, enabling players to create a team that heavily focuses on healing, deals maximum damage, or includes their favorite characters.

However, with so many possible team compositions available, players may feel overwhelmed by the choices. Some players prefer to stick with the same team members throughout the entire game, while others strive for optimal performance and switch out team members after every battle. Regardless of the approach chosen, Persona 5 Royal is balanced in a way that ensures every team composition is viable to some extent.

How To Change The Team In Persona 5 Royal

If players have more than four playable characters, they have the option to switch out team members. To do this, go to the entrance of the Palace of Mementos where all characters who are not currently in the party will be lined up. Interact with a character to invite them to join the team and choose a current team member to replace if the team is already full.

Players with the highest ranking in the Star Confidant can also change their team members during battle. To do this, open the "Tactics" menu on a playable character's turn. From there, players can choose to swap out party members all within the same turn. This can only be done during a character's full turn and cannot be performed during Baton Passes or bonus turns.

To adjust their party composition outside of combat, players can access the menu and select the "Stats" option. This section allows them to view all available party members, along with their HP and SP. To replace party members, simply click the "Party" button next to a character's name. However, it's important to note that changes will only be saved if exactly four characters are selected as party members. This convenient feature enables players to easily customize their teams on the fly, even while in the normal world.

Persona 5 Royal is currently available on various platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
