After the release of update 2.1 and the DLC, Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 has made an impressive comeback. The game has finally realized its true potential and is now receiving high praise from players who were initially disappointed with its release three years ago. CD Projekt Red has successfully transformed Cyberpunk 2077 into the game it was meant to be. As a result, players can now fully immerse themselves in the vibrant world of Night City, which includes engaging in exciting illegal street races. However, many players are unaware of how to participate in these races. To address this, this guide will provide step-by-step instructions on unlocking the racing feature in Cyberpunk 2077, as well as other valuable information related to this thrilling activity.
Unlocking Racing in Cyberpunk 2077
Players can unlock racing in Cyberpunk 2077 by following these simple steps:
Unlock The Beast in Me gig from Claire.
Speak with Claire to receive information on the races necessary for unlocking the ultimate race. The qualifying races will occur in the Badlands, Santa Domingo, and City Centre. To participate in the final race, the player must seek vengeance for the untimely demise of Claire's spouse.
Midway through the final race, the player will have to make a choice: follow Sampson or complete the race.
Should Players Follow Sampson or Complete the Race?
Follow Sampson and you'll find his wrecked vehicle. Witnessing Sampson crawl out of the wreckage gives both you and Claire an advantage. It's up to you whether to let Claire take charge or not, but if you choose the latter, Claire will become unfriendly towards you for the rest of the game.
If you decide to complete the race, Claire will eventually eliminate Sampson.
If the player chooses to finish the race and let Claire kill Sampson, they will automatically unlock the Quadra type-66 Cthulhu and the Beast vehicles.
Tips for Winning Races in Cyberpunk 2077
Players can win races in Cyberpunk 2077 by following these handy tips:
Navigate each checkpoint and adhere to the yellow arrows.
When racing alongside Claire, pay careful attention to her instructions. Claire will announce approaching turns and shortcuts, providing players with an advantage over their opponents.
Players who do not have a fast car should opt for Claire’s car, the Beast. The Beast is perfect for Claire’s races since the vehicle is quick and durable.

As a Gen Z netizen, I am excited about the recent resurgence of Cyberpunk 2077. The game has come a long way since its disastrous launch, and I am glad that CD Projekt Red has been able to turn things around. The addition of new content, such as the Phantom Liberty DLC, has helped to bring players back to the game, and I am eager to see what the future holds for Cyberpunk 2077.
The racing feature in Cyberpunk 2077 is a great way to experience the game's fast-paced combat and stunning visuals. The races are challenging, but they are also very rewarding. I especially enjoyed the final race, which takes place in the Badlands. The race is full of twists and turns, and it is a real adrenaline rush to compete against the other racers.
