Acquiring Backpack Extensions

As a seasoned explorer in Enshrouded, you'll often find yourself in dire need of more inventory space. The solution to this conundrum lies in acquiring Backpack Extensions, a crucial upgrade for expanding your carrying capacity. These invaluable enhancements are crafted through the expertise of the Hunter, an NPC with a pivotal role in your journey through the cursed lands of Enshrouded.

To commence the process, you must first rescue the Hunter during the sandbox campaign. Once accomplished, you can establish a secure shelter for her within an enclosed building at your base. This not only provides her with a safe haven but also unlocks a compelling side quest that will set you on the path to obtaining the elusive Backpack Extensions.

Embarking on the Salt Mine Quest

The Hunter's quest, aptly named 'Salt Mine Location,' leads you to the treacherous Egerton Salt Mines. Situated to the west of the Springlands Ancient Spire fast travel point and slightly northeast of the Alchemist NPC's location, this perilous area is shrouded in a deadly fog that demands thorough preparation.

Upon venturing into the depths of the Egerton Salt Mines, keep a keen eye out for tunnels that delve deeper into the cavernous expanse. Here, you will encounter rock formations with cube-like protrusions, indicating the presence of Salt deposits. Utilize your Pickaxe to extract these essential resources, ensuring you amass an ample supply for the subsequent crafting process.

Harnessing the Power of Dried Fur

Following your expedition to the salt-laden caverns, return to the Hunter and embark on the task of creating a Drying Rack. This indispensable structure necessitates 10 Wood Logs and 6 String, serving as a pivotal component in the expansion of your inventory space.

Use the Drying Rack to make Dried Fur.

Once the Drying Rack is in place, commence the production of Dried Fur by accessing the 'Browse Recipes' feature and selecting the Dried Fur option. Utilize the Salt gathered from the mines, along with Animal Fur acquired from vanquished beasts, to facilitate the continuous production of Dried Fur at a steady pace.

Crafting the Backpack Extensions

After securing a sufficient quantity of Dried Fur, engage in a dialogue with the Hunter to initiate the crafting process. Opt for the 'Craft' option and observe as the recipe for the Small Backpack materializes before your eyes. To bring this enhancement to fruition, gather 3 Torn Cloth, 5 String, and 4 Dried Fur, and commence the crafting process.

Upon successful creation, equip the Small Backpack via your character menu to revel in the newfound addition of eight inventory slots.
