In Lies of P, players have the opportunity to experiment with various variables to create unique and diverse builds. These variables include Costumes, Stat Allocation, Weapon Assembly, Legion Arms, usable Items, and P-Organ Upgrades. With such a wide range of options, it is highly unlikely for two players to unintentionally create identical builds.

However, when it comes to P-Organ Upgrades, certain upgrades are clearly more suitable for Motivity (Strength) builds, while others are better suited for Technique (Dexterity) builds. In this discussion, we will focus on dexterity and explore the optimal upgrades for Pinocchio to aim for throughout one or two playthroughs of Lies of P.

10 Increase Pulse Cells: Phase 1 & Phase 2

Irrespective of the chosen build, overlooking the Increase Pulse Cells Upgrades is practically unjustifiable. Unless players possess unwavering confidence in their ability to evade any damage or are deliberately seeking an incredibly daunting challenge, acquiring additional healing items is undeniably a valuable enhancement.

9 Increase Staggerable Window: Phase 1 & Phase 5

Although it may appear that Stagger is primarily geared towards Strength/Motivity builds, this is not necessarily the case in Lies of P. Technique Builds, Advance Builds, and even certain builds focused on Legion Arms all rely on Staggering enemies and executing Fatal Attacks.

Disregarding them entirely would be a missed opportunity, as they offer significant benefits. Therefore, providing Pinocchio with additional space to identify the ideal moment for a Charge Attack has a far greater influence than players might anticipate.

8 Link Dodge: Phase 1

While Link Dodge is an Upgrade that isn't really necessary for any Motivity build centered around Perfect Guards and/or regular Guards, it greatly benefits a Dexterity build. Just because Lies of P has a Perfect Guard mechanic doesn't mean players must constantly rely on it. In fact, with lighter (yet faster) weapons, dodging and poking is often more effective than blocking and swinging.

7 Add Fable Slots: Phase 1 & Phase 4

As expected, Technique builds typically revolve around using more advanced weaponry or mastering the intricate control of Pinocchio. Moreover, there exist numerous Fable Arts that greatly benefit players skilled in their application. Fable Arts such as Payback Stab, Absolute Defense, Absolute Counterattack, and Guard Parry possess the potential to significantly diminish a boss's health when executed with precision.

But, in order to achieve this, players must ensure that their Fable remains consistently replenished. Therefore, it is only logical that enhancing the overall quantity of Fable possessed by Pinocchio would greatly facilitate Technique players in utilizing their Fable Arts more frequently.

6 Add Amulet Slots: Phase 2, Phase 4, & Phase 7

Unfortunately, despite the wide range of options available for players to customize their abilities in P-Organ Upgrades, there is significant overlap in the actual Upgrades themselves across different builds. Notably, Upgrades such as Increase Pulse Cells, Increase Pulse Cell Recovery, and Add Amulet Slots are commonly chosen for virtually all builds.

Amulets serve as the only tangible equipment that players can manipulate to greatly influence their stats, including their overall Stamina, map Health, and even special abilities like dodging Fury Attacks. Consequently, players strive to acquire as many Amulet Slots as they can.

5 Enhance Pulse Cell Recovery: Phase 3 & Phase 6

Although players in the initial 4 chapters may not perceive this Upgrade as essential, its significance gradually becomes apparent as they allocate more points to their Vitality attribute. Upon reaching the final stages of the game, it becomes evident that bosses can effortlessly eliminate players with a single strike if their Vitality statistic is insufficient.

And, in addition to this, when players utilize their Pulse Cells for healing following this assault (assuming they emerge alive), the recuperation process only replenishes fifty percent of the energy bar. Consequently, opting for this Upgrade translates to a considerably reduced rate of Pulse Cell consumption.

4 Increase Special Grindstone Uses: Phase 4

Numerous builds in Lies of P utilize the Grindstones provided by Venigni to Pinocchio. Crit Chance is typically associated with Daggers, but this Grindstone enables players to temporarily achieve critical hits with their powerful Technique weapons, resulting in massive amounts of damage.

3 Perfect Guard Weapon Durability Recovery: Phase 6

Starting with the sixth and seventh phases of the P-Organ Tree in NG+ and NG++ respectively, we can now discuss the last three Upgrades. In Phase 6, players unlock the Perfect Guard Weapon Durability Recovery Upgrade, which is exclusive to NG+ and onward. As they delve deeper into Krat and encounter the enigmatic horrors that await, they will discover that each subsequent boss depletes their weapon's durability at an increasingly alarming rate.

However, later bosses hardly offer players a momentary respite, let alone a mere 5+ seconds to mend their weapon. Consequently, although Technique (Dexterity) builds typically do not heavily rely on Perfect Guards, this Upgrade remains valuable as it enables Technique players to seamlessly transition into Perfect Guarding. This allows them to both stagger the boss and restore the Durability of their weapon without leaving themselves vulnerable while utilizing their Grinder.

2 Light Weight: Phase 7

In Lies of P, the importance of the Capacity stat becomes evident after a few hours of gameplay. Regardless of whether players opt for a sturdy build or not, allocating at least 20 points to Capacity by the end of the game is essential to avoid falling into the 'Slightly Heavy' category.

Therefore, acquiring an Upgrade that maximizes the minimum percentages for the Light, Regular, Slightly Heavy, and Heavy categories is undoubtedly the most advantageous option within the P-Organ tree.

1 Fury Attack Guard: Phase 7

Lastly, even the Souls games do not venture into the realm of allowing players to disregard a mechanic that they have been required to engage with throughout their entire gameplay experience. However, this is precisely what Lies of P achieves on multiple occasions. It first accomplishes this feat with the introduction of the Ghost Walk Amulet, granting players the ability to evade Fury Attacks. Subsequently, the Fury Attack Guard P-Organ Upgrade further enhances this ability.

The P-Organ Upgrade is slightly more practical than the Ghost Walk Amulet, despite the fact that dodging a Fury Attack with the amulet results in no damage compared to the damage players sustain from guarding a Fury Attack with the Guard Retain.
