In The Sims 4, there are a total of 24 base game crystals. Many players strive to collect all of these crystals, as they offer skill, fame, and mood enhancements when worn as crowns. These crystals hold immense power and significance for those who believe in them.

Similar to the remarkable qualities of crystals, this unique twist on the legacy challenge revolves around creating meaningful and extraordinary families. These Sims are extremely determined individuals who dedicate their lives to pursuing their dreams. Each Sim must find the crystal that inspired them or locate one with a similar color. They can choose to proudly showcase it in a display case within their home or simply keep it in their inventory. While this challenge requires several expansion packs, such as Get To Work, Vampires, and City Living, players can always make slight adjustments to adapt the stories to the DLC they already possess.

Generation 1: Quartz

A crystal that symbolizes growth and new beginnings is the perfect start to a legacy challenge. The Sim who embodies this colorless stone has a heart of kindness and compassion. They have dedicated themselves to the study of medicine, saving lives, making generous donations to charities, and volunteering alongside their expanding family. The Quartz Sim fervently hopes that their unwavering passion for helping others will endure for generations to come.

In the first generation of this legacy, the focus is on fostering close and supportive family dynamics. It is essential to donate to charities every fortnight and to engage in volunteer work at least five times, such as at nursing homes, soup kitchens, and beach cleanups. Furthermore, players must strive to achieve level 10 in the Parenting skill to effectively navigate the responsibilities of raising their three children.

Generation 2: Blue Kyanite

Blue Kyanite is a crystal that promotes self-love and facilitates the connection between the heart and the mind by unblocking the chakras. The Quartz generation nurtured their offspring, instilling in them the value of assisting others. Regrettably, this Sim acquired a tendency to prioritize aiding others at the expense of their own well-being, consequently facing challenges with their mental health.

Generation 3: Amethyst

The Amethyst crystal symbolizes peace and balance, and Amethyst herself always aspired to pursue her dreams, thanks to the guidance of her Blue Kyanite parents. Traveling the world is a top priority on Amethyst's bucket list.

Being an adventurous Sim, Amethyst frequently relocates, moving from the sunny shores of Sulani to the bustling city of San Myshuno, and even reaching the summit of Mount Komorebi. Age and finances never hinder her from exploring every nook and cranny of the globe. In each new world, Amethyst aims to have a child, but for the next generation, the chosen heir must be a Child of the Ocean, born in Sulani. For those seeking a challenge, attempting to move Amethyst into every world available in The Sims 4 could test their skills.

Generation 4: Fluorite

The crystal available in various colors, Fluorite is intricately connected to water and the ocean, aiding in the eradication of detrimental thought patterns and behaviors. While growing up, the Fluorite Sim experienced frequent relocations, yet they found the greatest joy residing in Sulani. Upon reaching young adulthood, their instinct led them to return to the coastal region of their native land.

Generation 5: Black Tourmaline

In order to transform into a mermaid, players need to discover or buy mermaid kelp and have their Sim ingest it. The Fluorite Sim's determination to maintain the cleanliness of the beaches and ocean intensifies with each passing day. For the continuation of the lineage, the Fluorite Sim must have a child with another mermaid.

Black Tourmaline is a crystal known for aiding in personal growth and alleviating mental distress. This particular Sim's journey began as a mermaid, although it did not fulfill their expectations. The only aspect they found satisfaction in was causing chaos through their enchanting melodies and leading unsuspecting Sims to meet their fate by conjuring dangerous sea creatures. However, by consuming two portions of mermaid kelp, this Sim was able to regain their human form. Yet, their exploration into the supernatural was far from over.

Driven by curiosity, the Black Tourmaline Sim delved into the study of vampires. The Sim successfully mastered the art of vampirism, even going on to have multiple vampire offspring. However, their next endeavor called for them to conceive a child with an alien, ensuring the next generation of this unique challenge. While there are no set rules regarding the Sim's profession, it is recommended that players construct an underground dungeon to "capture" other Sims, indulge in their blood, and claim their wealth.

Generation 6: Opal

Opals, often resembling speckled white crystals, serve as powerful symbols of hope and purity, bearing profound associations with the mysterious allure of the moon. The extraterrestrial Sim closely tied to this wondrous gem had always felt like an outsider within their vampire-infused family, constantly concealing their true identity from the prying eyes of the world. Their burning desire was to break free from the clutches of their malevolent kin and embark on a journey towards Sixam, the clandestine realm of aliens within The Sims 4 universe.

To pursue their aspirations, the extraterrestrial found themselves immersed in the field of astronautics. The initial goal was to obtain a rocket and embark on a voyage to the celestial haven of Sixam. Their objective is to achieve the prestigious rank of Master Spellcaster and acquire mastery over all spells (potions are optional). While starting a family was not part of their initial plan, this Sim may choose to have one child to carry on the challenge for the next generation.

Generation 8: Amber

Amber, a crystal with a captivating orange-red hue, symbolizes an amalgamation of love and innate charm. The Amber Sim, during their formative years, was constantly exposed to the enchantment of magic. However, unlike their parents, they did not find solace in the fusion of the wizarding world of Harry Potter with The Sims 4.

The Sim was captivated by the irresistible appeal of an extravagant lifestyle in the bustling city. Instantly intrigued, they were determined to relocate to San Myshuno, the ultimate world within the game. In a stroke of fate, the Sim would encounter their future spouse on the very first day. Together, they would embark on a journey towards becoming renowned critics of art and cuisine.

Generation 9: Sodalite

This deep blue crystal enhances perception and comprehension, making it ideal for the studious Sim of this era. San Myshuno offers excellent educational opportunities, and the Sodalite Sim relished every moment spent there. Their passion for learning led them to pursue a psychology degree, achieving top grades in all exams, and ultimately becoming a professor.

Mastering the Research and Debate skill is crucial for Sims during their university years, so this Sim should easily reach level 10 in that skill. Additionally, this generation requires the Sim to have a minimum of five children.

Generation 10: Turquoise

Lack of rules or regulations characterizes this particular generation, which may seem underwhelming at first glance. However, this aligns with the symbolic meaning of turquoise, known as the crystal of freedom. It grants players the autonomy to determine the traits, aspirations, and careers of their Sim. Embark on an uncharted narrative trajectory or enhance the experience with a fresh downloadable content (DLC) specifically tailored for this generation.

This generation may choose to purchase a farm in Henford-On Bagley as a means to fulfill their cottage-core countryside aspirations. They can populate it with a variety of farm animals and cultivate fresh produce for their family's consumption. It is recommended for them to acquire proficiency in at least two skills, such as cross-stitching and cooking.
