How To Catch Different Fish In Story Of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
In order to catch various types of fish in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, players must progress through the game to unlock additional fishing rods available for purchase at Van's shop. These fishing rods grant players the ability to catch a wider range of fish from the prime fishing locations in the Forgotten Valley. Additionally, the presence of a turtle or lizard nearby may also increase the chances of catching more fish.
When players wish to upgrade their fishing rod, they can trade in their old rod for the upgraded version. By reaching certain milestones in the game and catching more fish, players can unlock a total of four different fishing rods for their use in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
Copper fishing rod - unlockable from Summer of Year 1 for 1,000g from Van's shop.
Silver fishing rod - available from Spring of Year 2 for 10,000g from Van.
Spring of Year 3 offers a gold fishing rod, available for purchase at 50,000g from Van. In Year 4, players can acquire the Goddess fishing rod by developing a strong friendship with Gary. He kindly bestows this rod upon completion of a request.
