As players journey through the "The North Lomei Prophecy" side quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, they will inevitably stumble upon the challenging Tenbez Shrine. Perched high in the sky, this shrine will test players with its low-gravity physics, serving as a helpful warm-up for the daunting labyrinths that lie ahead.
Location of Tenbez Shrine in TotK
The Tenbez Shrine can be found on the western edge of the North Lomei Castle Top Floor, adjacent to the East Hebra Sky Archipelago in Tears of the Kingdom. To reach the shrine, players have multiple options, including using the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower to glide over to the labyrinth or landing on the nearby archipelago and utilizing a flying machine. Alternatively, the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower can be used to reach the North Lomei Castle Top Floor, but caution must be exercised as there are no islands in between to provide a safety net.
Tenbez Shrine Walkthrough
Tenbez Shrine deals with manipulating gravity and how it affects the physics of the object; most importantly, its velocity.
Upon entering the Tenbez Shrine, players will be greeted by the sight of a large ball being tossed between two launchers. At the top of the stairs, they will notice a glowing switch. It is important to note that hitting the switches in this shrine will toggle its gravity between normal and low.
Activate low gravity by hitting the switch when the ball stops on the launcher to the right. The ball will then soar higher than usual and hit the target on the left wall, allowing you to access the hidden chest in the Tenbez Shrine.
To obtain the secret chest in the first room of the shrine, players must navigate to the alcove beneath the target on the left wall. Following the path of the ball from the previous puzzle, launch Link from the low-gravity right launcher and glide down to the alcove. Inside the chest, players will find a valuable Large Zonai Charge.
Once the chest is unlocked, players must position Link on the left launcher to launch him up to the ledge on the right wall which leads to the next room. The next challenge is to hit a target within a cage using the same stone ball. Players can activate the switch in the room to restore normal gravity. When the ball is resting on the far launcher, players should reactivate low gravity to get back to the previous room.
The automatic launcher hidden in the slightly lowered area awaits the ball's arrival from the second room. Precise timing with the switch is crucial as the ball needs low gravity to gain enough height to clear the cage walls but must have regular gravity immediately after to hit the target. Failure to do so will require players to start over.
Once the ball is successfully dropped into the cage, players can access the Light of Blessing from the statue behind the final door. The game, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
