How to Start the Quest “A Lost Book” in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Players can embark on “The Lost Book” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley once they have reached Friendship Level 4 with The Fairy Godmother. Friendship can be increased by giving favorite gifts, performing companion role tasks together, and serving meals at Chez Remy. Alternatively, players can gift flowers of any kind, though it will require a significant amount to reach the desired Friendship Level.

After establishing a Friendship Level 4 with The Fairy Godmother, players will receive a quest named “A Lost Book” from her. Unfortunately, she has misplaced a book lent to her by Merlin, a resident of the valley. She seeks the player’s assistance in finding the book and completing various tasks for other residents. To accomplish this, players are required to undertake three tasks.

Cook a Pumpkin Soup for Anna

To help cheer up Anna, the Fairy Godmother requests that the player prepare a warm and comforting bowl of Pumpkin Soup. A recipe book is provided, but it may already be familiar to the player. To make the soup, the following ingredients are required:

After gathering all the required ingredients, players can easily prepare the soup for Anna by heading to any cooking station. Upon presenting the soup to Anna, she will express her gratitude for the player's help in her healing process.

Collect 100 Sticks for Olaf

Olaf, the beloved snowman from Frozen, has a peculiar request for the player, which is relayed by the Fairy Godmother. He needs 100 sticks, but refuses to disclose the reason behind it. He playfully hints at a top-secret mission that will utilize these sticks, possibly in a future update. Any type of stick in any quantity will suffice to meet his goal, though Softwood is the most abundant and therefore the easiest to obtain.

Collect 3 Amethyst for Ursula

The third task assigned to The Fairy Godmother is to deliver three Amethysts to the sea witch Ursula as per her specific request. However, the player must ensure that they gather only the unblemished Amethysts from the mineral veins located in the Forgotten Lands and Frosted Heights biomes, as the sea witch strictly refuses to accept any other type of Amethysts, including the shiny ones.

The Fairy Godmother remains puzzled about the whereabouts of Merlin's book even after the player has completed all three tasks. In an attempt to solve the mystery, she leads the player to her home, which is filled with piles of junk. The player must clear out the clutter, and amidst the mess, Merlin's missing book is finally revealed.

Return the book to Merlin's library on behalf of the Fairy Godmother by heading over to Merlin's house. Upon entering, interact with the bookshelf on the left wall to put Merlin's book back in its rightful place. Once done, return to the Fairy Godmother to complete the quest.
