While evading the haunting presence of Montgomery Gator's mangled remains, Cassie must strive to find an escape route.

In Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach - Ruin, players will navigate through the remnants of the main game's various locations. Traversing Monty Golf will introduce players to fresh mechanics introduced by the Ruin DLC, including the utilization of the V.A.N.N.I Mask and the AR Pizzaplex.

Arriving in Monty Golf

After encountering Monty up close, Cassie plunges into the water and is swiftly propelled out of a water attraction within the Monty Golf section. Once they regain their composure, players regain control and must proceed in a single direction, traversing the dilapidated golf course, occasionally resorting to crawling, until they come across Maskbot. Much like Mapbot in the main game, Maskbot startles players but ultimately proves beneficial. Following the initial fright, Maskbot graciously offers Cassie a mask that bears a striking resemblance to something familiar, but holds far greater significance.

With this particular mask, Cassie gains access to the "V.A.N.N.I" (Virtual Augmented Neural Network Integration) network, which allows her to observe an augmented reality overlay of the Pizzaplex. Certain objects within the AR Pizzaplex exist exclusively therein or can only be perceived through augmented reality. Conversely, the AR overlay occasionally conceals objects that would otherwise be visible. Additionally, players are introduced to Helpi, an affable little bear whom some may recognize from FNAF Pizzeria Simulator. Helpi's role is to assist the wearer of the mask in navigating the AR Pizzaplex.

A glitchy-looking box blocks the path ahead, but wearing the mask will reveal that it doesn't exist in the AR Pizzaplex. Before proceeding, players should check behind them for a side path with a storage container. Inside, there's an AR Collectible known as the "AR Glam Monty Plush". After obtaining it, return to the glitchy box and wear the mask to easily pass through it.

On the flip side, in order to utilize the Faz Wrench, players will need to remove the mask. They should fill the top bar completely and then align the wrench with the bottom bar so that both bars hit the blue segment simultaneously. This action will result in the door opening, granting players access to proceed further. The bathroom beyond the door houses a Wet Floor Bot, which can be deactivated by interacting with it while wearing the mask. It is worth noting that deactivating all the Wet Floor Bots in the DLC will unlock a secret later on, so players should remain vigilant and search for them during their adventure.

Exploring Gator Golf

Beyond the Bathroom lies a door adorned with a Monty sign. This sign mysteriously disappears when the mask is donned, prompting players to quickly put on the mask and venture through the door. Upon entering, they should turn left to discover a concealed room containing an AR collectible. Upon continuing down the hallway, they will come across another segment of the Monty Golf attraction. Removing the mask will grant a clearer view, as there is a protective barrier preventing Cassie from perceiving or traversing the course in the AR rendition of the room.

Once inside, players are introduced to Camera Stations, which allow Cassie to tap into the security cameras in the immediate area and see what's happening around the Pizzaplex. Players should quickly zoom out on this camera station to reveal an additional hidden camera. On console, players can cycle to it using the bumpers, while on PC, players will need to click on the camera to switch to it. Accessing the hidden camera will open a door somewhere else in the Pizzaplex and will prove to be significant later.

Find the Camera with Monty on it, and Helpi will provide instructions on how to use the intercom to distract the animatronics. By playing Cassie's voice over the camera, Monty will change position, allowing players to freely explore the area. Moving forward, there is an arcade machine in the Gator Golf Course that Cassie can play, although it doesn't appear to have a significant purpose or unlock another ending like other arcade machines. Beyond that lies the previous location of Monty and a staircase that is currently blocked. However, in the AR world, the blockage doesn't exist. Cassie can wear the mask and easily walk through it to continue progressing.

Once around the hut at the top and on the far side, Cassie will need to briefly remove the mask to bypass an AR blockade. Following the path, there will be a brief sighting of Monty in the distance. By following him, Cassie will arrive in an open area with an electrified door. Gregory will then contact Cassie, explaining that he requires her assistance in disabling "All Security."

Disable the Security Nodes

Looking at the door in the image, players can go right through a gap to reach a side area. Go up the ramp and use the mask to enter a secret room. Inside, there is an AR Collectible (AR Nightmare Plush) and another regular collectible.

Go back to the area with the electrified door and put on the mask. This will allow Cassie to pass through the blockage on the stairs to the left and go upstairs. Use the mask again to pass through another blockade and find a floating rabbit head (the security node Cassie needs to disable). Grab the AR collectible on the left before attempting to access the node. When examining the node with the mask on, players will notice a glowing red wire coming out from underneath it. Following this wire will lead to the child node.

In this scenario, there is a barrel positioned close to the node that players can engage with. By wearing the mask, they can deactivate it. Once accomplished, players should proceed towards the main node and solve the puzzle by connecting the corresponding images, replicating the configuration depicted in the image above. Consequently, the nearby forklift will lift a box, clearing the way ahead.

Follow this new path, which winds through Gator Golf, to reach a crawlspace. The crawlspace leads to an area with another Camera Station and a security node. As Cassie examines the node, Helpi detects an anomaly in the V.A.N.N.I Network. However, exploring this area with the mask on will startle Cassie, as she is suddenly jumpscared by "The Entity." Gregory then explains that when Cassie is caught, it triggers a distress signal which Monty appears to respond to. From this point on, The Entity will periodically appear after Cassie has been wearing the mask for a while. The player will hear a chilling chord in the audio signaling its arrival. Coming into contact with The Entity will attract a creepy animatronic to Cassie's current location. Nevertheless, players can still escape by moving away from The Entity, as this will cause the animatronic to be called to the location where Cassie and The Entity connected.

Players have the option to remove the mask and wait momentarily before putting it back on to get rid of the Entity. This technique can be particularly effective when the Entity approaches too closely. To locate two child nodes, players should trace the glowing wires from the main node. In this instance, one node is a cardboard cutout resembling Monty's face situated at the back of the room on the right, while the other node is a barrel located at the back of the room on the left. Additionally, players will find a Wet Floor Robot nearby the barrels that can be deactivated.

Once both nodes have been deactivated, players should return to the main node and connect the corresponding images in order to disable it. This action will unlock a door leading to a room containing a third security node. In order to progress, players need to be cautious of the Entity and Monty while locating the three child nodes within this new room. These nodes are located at the back of the room behind a small red bin, in the corner opposite the bin where a Golf Club is placed, and on a shelf diagonally opposite the bin where a plushie is found.

Disable these nodes and return to the main node to initiate another security puzzle. Successfully completing this puzzle will reveal that the previously electrified door can now be accessed. At this point, players should retrace their steps to reach the door, being wary of Monty's potential jump scares. Upon entering the door, players will find themselves in Gator Grub. Here, they should disable the two Wet Floor Bots and proceed through the winding hallway beyond the kitchen. Another Faz Wrench puzzle awaits, where players should fully charge the bottom wire before starting to charge the top one. Both wires should turn blue simultaneously, unlocking the door leading to a hallway. From there, players should make a left turn and enter a security office.

Within the confines of the office lies a secondary security node, accompanied by two subordinate nodes strategically placed within the vicinity for accessibility. The initial node manifests as a spherical plastic object artfully positioned on the security counter, while the latter is represented by a pizza resting enticingly on a cardboard receptacle near the door that opposes the entrance. It is of utmost importance to deactivate both nodes before proceeding to access the Main Security Node, thereby accomplishing another complex security puzzle. In the ensuing sequence, Monty will suddenly appear in the hallway, prompting players to make a swift exit through the door that stands opposite the one utilized for their initial entry into the security office. Subsequently, by seamlessly navigating around the corridor, players can ultimately make their way out via an alternate exit.

Arriving in a spacious open area, players will now have the task of locating the nodes that connect to another central node situated on a balcony overlooking the main section. The nodes in question are a Nightmarionne plushie positioned on a staircase at the far left corner of the room upon entry, and a bin situated on the right side of the room, on the same elevated platform as the Main Security Node. Proceed through the newly opened door and utilize the crawlspace to access a security room equipped with a large screen.

Use the mask in this room to uncover a Camera Station and cycle through the cameras until an anomaly is identified. Follow the button prompt to "quarantine" it, causing the large screen to disappear in the augmented reality (AR) world. This will enable Cassie to access the Daycare by climbing through. Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach - Ruin can be played on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
